Chapter Three

2214 Words
Stella's POV The day went on like that for the most part. Me constantly being shadowed by either pair of the twins, or Noah and Greyson. But now I was also being followed around by the three future leaders of Bloodmoon. It was the end of day one with the neighboring pack at our school. I was at my locker with Greyson and Bash, when two girls I’ve never seen before sauntered over to us. Slut #1 attempted to wrap her arms around Bash and gave him a seductive smile.   “Hi handsome. Want to show the new girl a good time?” I could immediately identify this girl at her pack’s bike. She looked like the girl would give everyone a free ride.   “I’m all set, thanks for the offer though.” Bash said unfazed. I couldn’t help the small giggle that came out. Bash was unapologetically honest, and it was always funny to watch. It seemed Sluts 1 and 2 didn’t appreciate my laugh and sent me bone chilling glare.   “What’s so funny, slut.” Slut #2 growled at me. I was about to respond when five growls shook the walls around us. Both girls began to cower a bit. When I looked around I noticed all my brothers were now standing beside me and Kai was standing behind the sluts.   “Who the f**k do you think you’re talking to?” Teo growled at the girls.   “You bitches think you are worthy enough to even speak to her?” Leo roared.   “Let alone breath the same air as her?!” This time it was Bash who was seething in anger.   “Grace and Nora, what are you both doing?” Kai questioned through gritted teeth. My brothers were shocked at his hostile tone towards his pack members, while defending a stranger. The girls began to tremble when five Alpha auras were targeted at them.   “Alpha, this b***h was laughing at us.” Slut #1 said in a sickly-sweet tone, acting like an innocent girl, instead of the hoe that she was. And they had the nerve to call me a b***h and a slut. Pa-lease!   “Call her one more name. I f*****g dare you.” This time the threat came from my sweetest brother.   “Okay, seriously? What is with this girl that has you all in protective mode.” Before anyone could respond the doors to the school bursted open and in walked all three of my dads. f**k. They must have sensed the boys anger and my nervousness.   “Princess!” Papa shouted when he spotted me backed against the lockers. His eyes immediately fell on my brothers and the two girls, along with Kai behind them.   “Baby, what happened?” Dad asked when they reached my side.   “We allowed you onto our territory, and only after one day there’s trouble?” Pa seethed towards the girls and Kai.   “These bitches were calling Stella names and giving her nasty looks Dad.” Leo reported. Causing three heart stopping growls. My fathers were Alpha’s not future Alpha’s, so their growls were more powerful and scarier than the ones in which the girls had already dealt with. They were trembling like a leaf at this point.   I didn’t want these girls to have a heart attack, so I pushed my calming aura out towards the men in my family in hopes that it would calm them long enough for me to speak.   “Princess, STOP!” Papa shouted at me, annoyed that I was trying to calm them.   “No. You will all calm down, NOW.” I stated firmly, and within seconds their tensed shoulders dropped. It worked, good.   “Baby, that’s not fair. You have to stop using that on us all the time.” Dad chastised. I smiled sweetly at my fathers.   “If you guys weren’t so quick to get angry and kill people I wouldn’t have to now would I?” I teased. I looked around at the Bloodmoon Pack members who were gathered behind Kai and could see them all looking at me in confusion. In Kai’s eyes I saw a mix of confusion and awe. Weird.   “What just happened?” Kai questioned out loud.   “And you are?” Pa asked curiously.   “Future Alpha of Bloodmoon, Malakai. Sir.”  He said respectfully with a bow of his head.   “Ah, I see. Welcome. And what just happened was our angel here used her calming aura to reign in our murderous thoughts.” Dad answered with pride in his voice.   “Sh-she’s your daughter?” Slut #2 asked with a quiver in her voice.   “She is.” They all three answered in unison. “We-we’re so so sorry. We di-didn’t know.”  Slut #1 said with a shaky voice.   “Yeah, yeah. Whatever. Doesn’t matter who I am. I am still a member of this pack, and you are on our territory. Know your place.” I growled out to the girls, feeling annoyed by their act of innocence now that they knew who they were f*****g with. I also hated the fact that they were backing up towards Kai, attempting to seek comfort from him. I wanted to rip them away from him. They were standing too close.   “She’s right. You shouldn’t be speaking to any of the New Red Moon Pack members the way you spoke to her.” Kai spat at them, they looked at him with shock in their eyes, but quickly responded with a quick ‘Sorry Alpha,’ before running away.   “Have a chat with your pack members. Another incident like this where my daughter is target will not end well. Understood.” Papa growled out.   “Understood Alpha.” Kai said quickly. “Sorry about that Stella, I’ll have a chat with my members. No one will bother you again. I promise.” He said to me in a gentle yet determined tone. And I believed every word he said.  Kai’s POV I felt enraged when I heard Grace and Nora speaking to Stella the way they had. I wanted to rip them apart for calling her those degrading names. Stella was far from a slut. I could smell her innocence, but even if I couldn’t, I sensed it. She was pure and sweet. I wanted her more than I have ever wanted anything in my entire life. None of this made sense. I have never felt this pull towards anyone, but when I look at her all I want to do is hold her in my arms. I want to feel her pressed against me. I want to kiss her plump, red lips. Tangle my hands in her blonde waves. Stare into her silver eyes for days. This has never happened to me before. What was going on? Why was I feeling this way?   After I vowed to not allow anyone from my pack bother her again, I made my way towards my car with Wyatt and Levi beside me. Both of whom were silent, too silent for them. I knew they were shocked by my behavior. I was defending someone outside of our pack, even if our member was wrong, I had never done that before. I was just as shocked and confused as they were though so I hoped they wouldn’t ask me what was going on. The truth was I had no answer for them.   As we drove home, I linked the pack. ‘Every member of Blood Moon who is attending New Red Moon High meet me out back in five minutes.’ A resounding ‘yes Alpha’ echoed in my head.   Five minutes later I pulled up in front of the pack house and made my way out back where I found hundreds of teens waiting for me. Grace and Nora stood towards the front of the group with a smirk on their faces. If they honestly thought I called this to accept their behavior, they were in for a rude awakening.   “Good afternoon everyone. Today, two of our pack members offended the Alpha’s of New Red Moon Pack’s daughter. They acted as a disgrace to this pack. I will warn you all once, and if I must do it again the outcome will not be pretty. You are to all be respectful of each member of that pack. They are doing us a favor by allowing us to attend school on their territory. I don’t care who they are or what they do. If they offend you…walk away and let me know immediately. If they bother you…walk away and let me know. Do NOT act the way Grace and Nora have today. Those two almost got themselves killed because they couldn’t keep their mouths shut. Are we all understood?” I boomed in my strongest voice.   “Yes Alpha.” Was chorused throughout the back yard.   “Good, go about your business now.” I stated flatly.   Few Days Later   Everything has gone smoothly for the last few days. School went on without any more issues. I still caught Grace and Nora sending Stella a glare or two when they thought no one was looking, but they hadn’t approached her again. Not that they would when she was constantly surrounded by someone. The girl was never left alone. I tried to find a moment alone with her, just to talk to her. Yet, there was ALWAYS someone there. Today was my 18th birthday. I was excited, yet nervous at the same time. I could recognize my mate today and I could feel my wolf, Mav, prancing around in my mind.   ‘I’m excited. We meet mate today. She’s going to be the most beautiful girl in the world.’ He purred. Yes, my Alpha wolf just purred in my mind like a lovesick fool, and he hasn’t even met the girl yet.   ‘Mav, do you really think our mate could be even more beautiful than Stella?’ I asked, genuinely curious as to his thoughts on the girl who has taken over my thoughts. Except, Mav didn’t respond.   He neither confirmed, nor denied that Stella was in fact the most gorgeous she-wolf he had ever seen. It was odd. Whenever I was in proximity of Stella, Mav was calm and at peace. The only time he shows any other emotion is when that Greyson dude is standing too close to her or touching her. Or, when Grace and Nora had offended her. At those moments Mav is anything but calm. I can feel his anger intensify more and more as the days have gone by. Yet, he never says a word about any of the situations. And now he won’t answer me. My thoughts are broken when a chorus of ‘Happy Birthdays’ are shouted at me when I enter the kitchen.   My parents, Wyatt and Levi are all standing there with big smiles on their faces. I can’t help but smile back at them. I give my parents a hug and bro-hug the guys. I guess I should stop obsessing over the silver-eyed beauty and focus on the prospect of meeting my mate today.   “Thanks guys. Let’s get going before we’re late.” I say with a little excitement in my voice.   “Awe is my baby boy excited to find his mate?” My mother coos at me.   “No, I just don’t want to be late is all.” I respond, but by the feeling of my cheeks heating up I know she’ll see right through that. Instead of waiting for anymore teasing I head to my car with the guys following behind me.   We drive to the school in silence and my head is swarming with thoughts of my mate. What will she be like? What will she look like? Will she be as beautiful as Stella? Damnit why do I keep thinking about her?! I pull into the parking lot and head towards the school entrance. As I open the front doors, I’m hit with the most delicious scent I have even smelt in my life. Hazelnut and berries. My mouth salivates at the smell. I look at Wyatt and Levi.   “Do you guys smell that?” I ask nervously. They look at me confused before shaking their heads. I follow the scent until I spot the source. There stood Stella looking more beautiful than ever, but that mutt Greyson had her pulled in a hug and she was squealing as she spoke to him. Before I could stop myself I had already tore her from his arms and buried my head in her neck, growling out “MINE.”
