We stepped out onto the roof, and I had to grab Lexi before she slipped and fell. The instant we were out the doors the whole house lurched to the side, and I gripped my long talons into the door, while I gently wrapped my wing around her, holding her close to me. I wasn’t going to let her fall off of the house. If this kept up, I wasn’t going to let her go anywhere without me ever again, even if I had to tie her to my body. She groaned, holding her head. ‘What’s wrong? Are you alright?’ I asked her, worry spiking through me. I could feel a pain spiking through her head.
She shook her head, looking up at me. “So many voices, speaking at once in the mindlink. You can’t hear them?” She asked, pain tinged in her voice.
I shook my head no, wincing as my beak almost scraped her
