THE END?

As I finished my story, I heard someone sobbed.
"Jenna, are you cried?"
She shook her head.
"No, of course, not! Not me!"
We both turned to find out Yuna snorted her nose with tissues, and her eyes were teary.
"Yuna! What the heck? Why are you crying?"
She sneezed as loud as she could and wiped her nose.
"Your story...it is sad. How can you not find your happy ending?"
I rolled my eyes.
"Yuna, you just said to me that there are many fishes on the sea. Surely I will get any happy ending if I want to."
She still wiped her runny nose.
At this point, I do not know, either she cried for real, or just teased me.
"I know! But, like what happened after that? And how do you cope with it?"
She threw me with more questions, but afterwards, she cried even louder, but only we can hear it.
"Yuna!"
Jenna tried to calm her down, cause at this time, she too was embarrassed with her.
"Look, I know Alan story was sad, but he managed to get here and befriend with us, and later, we in the same company too. So, don't cry, please! People are watching!"
Yuna wiped her runny nose and looked at us.
"I'm not sad about his life after."
She took a minute to continue.
"Where is the aquarium incident?!"
She said with all her heart, literally poured out with her soul.
Jenna laughed and patted her back.
"That's why I choose you. Always the drama queen. I think I will tell you the story privately."
Yuna suddenly stopped her runny nose and wiped her crocodile tears.
"Then, shall we go back to the company? I need some AC now, this cafe is hot, or it is just us?"
Those two already heated in their own hot, young love, so I just continued my story, for my own ear.
After the meet with Aunt May, she told me a few things about Adam, before he went for his space.
"The young man told me that he had done a terrible thing here. He was doing mistake, that he can no longer undo it. And of course, hurt the one he loved in the act of his doing."
Though Aunt May was talking, I did not give her my attention, rather than that, I sat and sighed.
With my face up to the sky, as I lean my head on the chair. I cannot think of anything about it, but one thing for sure.
I will never meet him again.
"Poor that young boy. Fall in love, only to know that his loved one was in love with another person. If only he had the strength...Ah, this old lady at it again with her romance fantasy! Are you okay, my dear? You look exhausted!"
Aunt May, who had done blabbering, finally realized my condition. She noticed that my emotion was blank, and I did not look that motivated as when I rushed to her shop.
"Ah, sorry. My head felt light. So, he didn't tell you where he was gone too, either?"
I tried to look okay, though I am not.
"He never did tell me about that. He just wanted to thank me, as I usually let him hang out here, and he already watched half of the film. Though, the movies he interested in were only about the love between two men. I think he wanted to learn from both of those men, about how to confess. Ah, young love!"
I smiled a little, feeling amused by her description of Adam.
Is he in love with me for real?
That was the mystery that I will never know.
I looked around the shop, and somehow, I can see him everywhere, scanning the DVD's rack, on the movie that he wanted to pick.
"Aunt May, if it not a problem for you, may I know movies that he usually watches? I kinda interested in it too."
"Ah, sure, sure! Just go and make yourself comfortable back there. I prepared the movie right away. This one movie he always plays it on repeat."
I bowed and thanked her. After she disappeared between the racks, I went straight to the cinema room, just like the last time.
But this time, alone.
I sat on the beanie bag, dropped my butt hard on it. I leaned down for a minute, as the screen still off, rethink about our times, though it was short, it was the best moment.
Yeah, it was.
Suddenly, the room became slightly darker, and the screen in front of me slowly went down. Light from the small projector in the hole of the wall projected the movie right away. I straighten my back to watch the film.
The movie that Adam watched.
As the movie ended, I did not realize that my tears dropped. I only noticed it when it falls onto my palms as put it on the floor.
"Eh?"
Why am I cry?
Is it because of the story?
Or,
It is because...
I can never get the ending like the movie had.
I wiped my tears and stood up to leave. My legs were pretty numb because the movie was 3 hours straight. So, I had to sit there for three hours, and I did not stand up much as I was too focused. I tried to stretch out, to help me lose the numbness faster. After done stretching, I leave the room, and realized, it was already almost night. Aunt May too was about to close the shop. She tried to reach the metal bars that will shut her shop from anyone entering it.
"Let me help. It was the least I can do for you."
I proceeded to help her grabbed the metal and pulled it down to the ground. Later on, she locked the store and put the key in her bag.
"Aunt May, can I borrow this movie? I'm sorry I took it, without asking. I thought I wanted to ask for it first, but you were about to close your shop."
She just smiled and nodded.
"Ah, of course, I actually forgot that you're still inside. Pardon my forgetness. Sure, lend it and if you had done watching it, feel free to return and visit me. I'm quite lonely since not many people prefer to watch a movie here."
I thanked her, and later we part on our way. For today, I chose to walk at a slow pace. For my own peace of mind, too. In just on a few months, I already had this ride of a roller coaster.
One moment, I felt something sweet, but the next day, it turned spicy.
At the time, the ride gave excitement feelings, but if I ride it for too long, I might felt hurt.
But in the end, if I was given a chance to ride it again, I will ride it, but with someone I loved.
Suddenly, my phone buzzed.

It was from Jenna. I texted her that I wanted to give a call. A few minutes later, she replied.
Okay.
*Ring*
"Heya, so how it goes?"
The tone in her voice seems like she was expecting something. I smiled alone.
"No, guess I'll never see him again."
"Gasp! Why?"
I filled her with the stories I just heard from Aunt May. After that, that was a long pause between the two of us.
"How are you cope with that?"
I was confused with her question.
"Why you asked that? I'm fine if that is what you wanted to know."
I heard a long sigh on the end of the line.
"I mean, we decided to do this, if you're ready to confess, but now? So, what are you going to do now?"
This time, it was my turned to stay quiet for a minute.
After a few moments of thinking, I finally replied to her.
"I think I'll going to choose this new life, new me, new perspective. And my whole new world."
She sighed, but this time, I sensed it was made with some sort of relief tone.
"Well, if that is your choice, I'm still happy for you."
"Of course, you have to be happy, because we both have many new things that await us, in this new, wide plate."
She giggled.
"Don't you forget that we both promised to find our significant together? I find for you, and you do the same for mine."
"I don't recall that I said I wanted to help you find one."
"Are you kidding me? What a betrayal!"
We both laughed, and after that, we casually had a small talk until I reached my home.
"See ya later!"
"You too!"
We both hanged up. I looked at my house and noticed that dad's car was not there yet.
Maybe he returned late today.
I decided to go straight to my room while waiting for my dad to have dinner together. Since I am home alone, I decided to play the movie I borrowed and watched it in the living room. I threw my stuff on my bed and quickly ran downstairs. Luckily, we brought our old DVD's player in our new house.
"I hope it worked."
I blew off the dust around it, and pushed one of the buttons, to insert the DVD. Sooner after, the tv's screen started to flash and displayed some kind of production's logo.
"Ah, it's working."
And again, I will watch the movie about the love of the two men.
"The End."
Yuna looked disbelief with my story.
"Are you thought that I'm here for that weak ending?!"
She was ready to fight.
Finally, all of us burst into laughter.
Jenna looked at her watch and told us that the lunch hour was almost over.
"Come on! And I owe you my story, right?"
Jenna winked at Yuna.
Yuna slipped her arm behind Jenna's waist and moved closer to her.
"And it will be at your place or mine?"
And...they are at it again.
I regretted to pair both of them, but it is okay, at least I can see that true love in the same gender still exists.
"Hurry up, or you'll be fired by Evan."
All of us laughed and returned to our office.
And, that's the story for today entry.
