Prologue
The moment I opened my eyes, Roberto, my pet, licked my cheek. The way he greets me every morning. A giggle escaped my lips as I ruffled his hair. He is so cute! He purred and rubbed his soft fur on my cheek. I chuckled. "Good morning too, love. How's your sleep?"
He purrs again while he wiggles his small tail. Roberto is a rare kind of pet. To be honest, he does not qualify as a pet at all. Roberto is dangerous to be someone's pet. Its fur is poisonous and deadly, but not to me. Roberto is harmless, and he has been my pet since I was three. Trivia, Rainbowhood, like Roberto, is one of the ancient monsters of Oralis, but due to change of habitat, his race is now extremely difficult to find. I'm so lucky.
"Are you hungry?" I asked him.
I almost laughed when he pouted his lips and made a cute face. To add more effectiveness, he wiggled his tail as well. "Okay, okay...will hunt now. I know you're hungry."
I stood up and balanced myself. By the way, we are at the top of a tall tree. I looked down and if only I wasn't used to being in such a high place. I must have passed out from the height. If I fall, I will definitely break a bone. I shook my head and jumped down. Okay, I take back what I said earlier that I will break a bone if I fall. That's just a joke, I'm used to this way of life so it's not new to me to jump this high. I don't have a house to stay so, in the past years, I have been sleeping in tall trees to avoid being eaten by dangerous animals such as bears, lions, snakes and others while I sleep. So I'm very good at jumping from the highest place. It's one of the survival skills to survive in the wild. I'm like a girl version of Tarzan.
I read his tale when i was young but his story still lingers in my mind.
