Sophie Pov
Sitting in my office, with stacks of paperwork to do but getting nowhere because all i have on my mind is Liam, i really need to talk to him but then i'm scared to, i wish he could just hold me.
‘ Sage have you spoke to Asher at all’
‘ i have, him and Liam have been worried about us’
‘ ok i'm going to have to talk to him aren't i’
‘ yeah you are because i want to spend time with my mate’
‘ calm down would you’ she cut off the link.
I get up from my desk and head towards the door, I still have a few hours before I have to get ready. I mind-link Zayn to see if he knows where Liam is. He responds a couple of minutes later ‘ yes he is in my office with me’ ‘ok on my way’.
I reach the door i can smell his forest scent and it calms me, i knock on the door “come in Sophie” i walk in, they both look at me, i smile “ Hi guys, Zayn just wanted to let you know that i'm going out tonight and also i was wondering if i could have a word with Alpha King Liam please” i'm waiting for a response when Liam takes my hand and leads me out to the hallway, “we can go to my room and talk if you want” i offer, he looks at me with concern is his eyes “yeah sure, lead the way” i start walking toward my room, i want to feel his warmth again but i don't just want to take his hand, next thing i know is he has taken my hand, i look up to him and smile he smiles too, like a genuine smile, he intertwined our fingers, i look away before he can notice that im blushing “ You look cute when you blush” i look at him he has a smile on his face and i playfully hit his arm, “shut up i wasn't” he laughs and so do i “ if you say so”.
We go into my room, he takes a seat on the sofa, i sit on the end of my bed, this isn't awkward at all, i break the ice “ I think we need to talk about us being mates'' he looks at me, worry, concern and scared are in his eyes, “ err… ok” i have to ask this question it's playing on my mind but m i need to know, i blurt it out “ are you going to reject me” he looks hurt when i said that and taken back a bit “ What? No I'm not, why are you going to reject me? Please don't, i've waiting so long for you” ok my turn to be taken back by what he just said “No, i don't want to reject you, i-i had to ask, it's just that you deserve someone that can be at the same level as you and not just a beta” i look down ashamed.
Liam Pov
I can't believe she think that way about herself she is way above my level if only she knew, i walk over and sit next next to her, i lift her chin on with my finger “ We are on the same level, the moon goddess wouldn't give us each other if she didn't think otherwise” i move my hand away from her chin and cup her cheek and lean my forehead on hers, “ you don't see how perfect you are” “Im far from perfect im just a normal she-wolf” she isn't just a normal she-wolf tho i wish i could tell her but i promised Zayn i wouldn't.
i move my head away and hold her hand “So where are you going tonight?” yeah i didn't forget she is going out i just hope it isn't a club because there is no way in hell she is going “ just going out with a few friends to have club but i won't be out long, actually i better get ready they will be here shortly” “ how long isnt long i don't want you to go to a club without warriors with you” she looks at me and straightens her back “ if you haven't forgotten i am the beta of this pack and i can look after myself and my pack, yesterday they got lucky” oh no that is not what i meant “ i didn't mean it like that it would make me feel better as your mate to know that there isn't another male touching what's mine” “ i'm sorry what's yours? I'm my own person not a property, and i'm not interested in other males i just want to take my mind of a few things with friends” i can always go and check this club out myself and keep an eye on her “ ok with club you going to” “Revolution” “ ok i'm going to go finish my meeting with Zayn what time you leaving?” “8:30 why” “ no reason i'll see you later” with that i kiss her on the forehead and leave.
