Violet POV After Allen put me in the car of a family, traveling to a city on the other side of the country, I sat in the back seat next to their two children, tears streaming down my cheeks. If I had done as I had decided and left for the nearest town some time ago, none of this would have happened. I'd have been prepared and would have had a job.
