SIENNA I curled deeper into my wolf form, wrapping my tail around myself as I basked in the warmth that had finally returned to my body. For the first time in what felt like days, I wasn’t cold. Beyond the steady roar of the waterfall, I could still hear the blizzard raging outside. The wind howled through the trees, occasionally drowning out the sound of the rushing water. Just thinking about being out there made me shudder. I never wanted to experience that kind of cold again. Ever. It hadn’t simply been cold. It had been brutal. The freezing temperatures had seemed to penetrate straight through my skin, muscles and bones until I felt as though the cold had reached my very marrow.
