I feel like an asshole.
The way I dumped my niece on Colton's lap and walked away without a single word honestly felt justified at the time because I was feeling extremely overwhelmed by everything but now I just feel awful for how I reacted.
I was already feeling overwhelmed from the conversation I'd had with Colton and everything he had laid upon me in such a short space of time but then out of nowhere, I was left startled by the sudden appearance of my brother and his daughter.
I mean, it was one thing to hear that Tyler was the one who had fathered Chelsea's baby and he had been raising her on his own for the past six years without any help from his jailbait lover but it was a whole other thing to actually to see my niece when I wasn't ready or prepared to.
