"Hi baby," I smiled softly as I attempted to pet my new dog.
He quickly pulled away afraid of my touch. I sighed, if have to warm up to him. I was handed the leash as Andre grinned at the kitten he held in his arms.
"Let's go show them their new homes," I suggested to Andre who happily complied.
"Her name is Gracie!" choose Andre.
"What's his name?" asked Andre referring to my dog.
I thought for a moment, I haven't chosen a name yet. I didn't really know what name to choose.
"I- I think I like the name, Max," I decided.
I don't know why. Max seemed perfect for him. And it was then he became Max, my dog.
