"W-what?" I mumbled.       Andre was the only thing keeping me going, the only reason I worked his hard to be where I am now, I can't lose him. "You heard me?" he smirked. Suddenly, a smart comeback came to mind. He wouldn't do s**t. "Go ahead," I said returning the smirk," Go to court for full custody. Show Andre the monster I know you are. Show him that you threw him out of his own home and then suddenly decided you want him back. I dare you to show him who you really are. Your true colors. And besides, in case you haven't noticed, I am a wealthy, compassionate, CEO who can care for her son. The judge will never give you custody."       His once sly smirk faded as he processed my every word. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have better places to be," with that I left. ~•~•~•~       I stood by my car while I waited for Andre to be done with school. I enrolled him in an early preschool to help her promote early learning. What was taking so long?       Suddenly, his adorable voice came to ear. I turned to find my baby flirting with a little girl. He's a player, just like his father. "Andre, come here," I called. "It's time to go home," I added. "Coming mommy," he smiled.      I don't care what happens, Alex will not take my Andre away. He has been the only thing keeping me going since the divorce and he will not deprive me of that. "Hi mommy," Andre greeted. "Hello," I smiled as I got into the car, " how was it today? " "Fun," he chirped," Did you see Daddy today?"      I froze at his simple question. He meant well, I just hated whenever he brought up his father. He made me seem like a terrible mother. I hated being the villain in stories. What should I say? That his father wants me back after throwing me on the streets? "Yeah," I sighed," I saw your father today." His eyes lit up," Really? Does he want to see me?"       I always knew that he would ask me that question at some point. "I- I don't know," I answered.        His once happy eyes faded. Suddenly they shot up again. "Then can we get ice cream?" he chirped. Kids, I swear. "Sure," I chuckled. ~•~•~•~ "Go pick out your flavor and order it," I instructed to Andre as he ran off.       I sighed a happy sigh. What would I do without him?       I started to walk towards the cashier when I saw the most astonishing, yet horrifying sight in my life.       My breathing get heavier, my heartbeat started to race, and my blood boiled.       There he was, Alex had his arm swung over the shoulder of some prostitute. He looked at her so lovingly. I could swear he once looked at me that way. She looked so happy. But yet, there was a small twinkle in his eyes. It wasn't happiness, nor love, not even lust. It was pain?       I couldn't help but be angry inside. How dare he want to win me back and go around f*ucking some slut. But yet, she was perfect for him. Sleek black hair, petite hourglass figure, and green eyes. What was wrong with me?        I hurriedly rushed to Andre's side. Alex can not see Andre. I handed my credit card to the lady and waved Andre to go. He ate his ice cream as I lightly pushed him. "We have to go Andre," I rushed. "Yes mommy," he obeyed. "Lacey." God no. I was too late.
