By the time their meal eventually arrived, Taylor, Amy, and Everett were slumped together in a huddle at the side of the dungeon, sharing their warmth and dozy with boredom. When the guard turned his key in the door, they startled awake and jumped to their feet. "Step away from the door," the guard shouted as he pushed his way into the cell. He looked at them warily as he set down a large cloth-covered tray on the dusty floor. "We're nowhere near the door," said Everett petulantly. "There's a large draught that comes under the door and it's cold enough in here as it is." Amy looked at the guard hopefully. "Have you brought lunch" The guard grunted. He turned and left the cell and Taylor heard his chain clank as he locked the door again. "Marvellous." Everett rubbed his hands together
