The next day, they went home because they hadn’t warned their parents. Noah reluctantly agreed to go back, though it was hard for him to look his parents in the eyes. But with Lucas’s help, he adjusted, and after a few days, he was back to being the same Noah who brought joy to Lucas and their parents... They interacted as they used to, trying to make sure their parents didn’t suspect anything. But if their parents had been a little more observant, they would’ve noticed the change in the brothers’ behavior toward each other. They were more careful, more tender, and their eyes sparkled when they looked at each other. They smiled at each other with wide, loving smiles... They loved each other endlessly, to the point of losing their minds. They tried to convey that love through every touch and kiss, and it worked...
"Noah," Lucas’s voice broke the silence.
"Don’t, please," he gasped, his fear of their parents catching them growing stronger. They...
"They’re not home," Noah replied, biting and kissing Lucas’s neck.
They were in the living room. Lucas had been sitting on the couch watching a movie when Noah came in, sat on his lap, and started kissing him.
"Dad’s at work, and Mom went out with a friend."
Hearing this, Lucas relaxed and, unable to resist, wrapped his arms around Noah’s waist, pulling him closer and kissing him deeply...
They started undressing each other, their shirts ending up on the floor. They were drowning in desire, so consumed by each other’s bodies that they didn’t notice Mari standing at the entrance, tears in her eyes, her hand over her mouth, before she quietly left the living room...
Two hours later, after their moment of pleasure, Noah got dressed and left the house to buy cigarettes, warning Lucas to stay inside. He entered the store, bought what he needed, and stepped outside. As he walked, smoking, three guys approached him. Without a word, they twisted his arms, forced him into a car, and drove off.
"Damn you, where are you taking me? Who are you?" Noah struggled, but they didn’t let him move.
He shouted, thrashed, and even spat in one of their faces. The guy, furious, punched Noah in the neck. Noah’s vision went black, his head spun, and he lost consciousness...
The sound of the door closing reached Lucas’s ears as he stepped out of the kitchen.
"Noah, I’m back..." His words trailed off as he saw not Noah, but his parents standing in front of him.
"Son, why are you surprised? Were you expecting someone else?" his father asked with a smirk, stepping closer.
From the tone of his voice and the fire in his eyes, Lucas realized his father was angry. He glanced at his mother, who was silently crying.
"Mom, why are you crying?" Lucas asked, wanting to go to her, but his father’s slap stopped him.
Lucas held his burning cheek and looked at his father in confusion.
"Dad?"
"Go inside," Sejun growled, pushing Lucas toward the living room.
Lucas walked in silently. His thoughts were a mess. He didn’t understand what was happening... and he didn’t want to. He didn’t want to think that his parents had found out about him and...
"Noah," he heard the last thing he wanted to hear.
"Why Noah?" Sejun stepped closer.
"Damn you, Lucas, do you understand what you’re doing?" he started yelling.
"You’re both boys, damn it!" Another slap.
"You’re brothers..."
"Stop it!" Lucas finally shouted, stepping back.
"If you think hitting me will change my mind, you’re dead wrong..."
"Lucas, you’re both boys," Mari said tearfully.
"You’re stepbrothers, but still brothers..."
"If we’re boys, does that mean we don’t know how to love? If we’re the same gender, can’t we be together?" Lucas asked with a smirk, his eyes filled with tears.
"I’m happy with Noah. I’ve never been this happy before. I’ve never loved anyone the way I love him..."
"Shut up!" Sejun roared and hit Lucas with all his strength.
Lucas fell to his knees but didn’t make a sound. He didn’t make a sound during the rest of the blows either. His body was numb, his eyes closing, and he felt his back wet with his own blood... Before losing consciousness, he only heard one thing:
"Forget about Noah. You’ll never see him again..."
