Iris POV
Eunice didn't went to class for 2 days straight. Everyone still accused her for what happened to Mia and when Eunice attended the class, she was bullied by our classmates. I can’t stop them though
we're already dismissed that day when I decided to go to the library for my assignment but there is a commotion.
In the library, Jenny noticed Eunice that did not attend our classes because of the accusation and frank she gets.
Jenny went toward Eunice and pushed her hard.
"You should have been imprison! You don't deserve to live, you murderer!" Jenny yelled.
"Stop it Jenny let's go. Teachers might see us." Rebecca said while dragging her out.
Eunice stand up immediately and run away from them. I just look at Eunice and I pity her for the treatment she gets from everyone.
I went to Jenny to ask about the tournament. "Hey Jenny! Have you finished practicing our piano lesson? Our competition is already next week." I said while waving at Jenny.
"I'm not in the mood to talk about it. I'm still angry about what happened to Mia. I don't want to see that weirdo again." Jenny replied.
“What? But you need to focus for our competition'' I said. "So what, I don’t care, let’s go Rebecca. Let's go home." She said as she walks out at the library
“Haysst such a brat.“ Me syaing to myself and went home.
…..
It's Saturday and we don't have any classes but the students are busy and getting ready for the school event later.
The school gathered a competition for our extra curricular activity this month.
There will be dance and singing competition, also talents in playing musical instruments such as guitar and piano competition where I and Jenny will be competing.
“Iris!”
“IRIS! ”
I arrived in the event late that's why I am not able to watch the other competition. I’m heading on the auditorium when someone calls me.
"Iris! Thank God, you’re here already, gosh! Why are you so late?" Alex and Steph asked while running towards me.
"I've been so nervous and also I prepared myself first. You know I practiced alone because Jenny was not participating in our practice" I replied.
"Yeah I know, that brat really. But we all know that she can be in runner up since she's also good in piano, but never mind, let’s go to the backstage; I think your performance is near." Alex said.
“Good luck Iris!” Steph said with a big smile on her face.
“Thank you!!" I replied while waving at them.
We run to the backstage and get prepared for my performance. Minutes later…
"Let's call the next performer, Iris Del Valle from Grade 12 Class A." called by the emcee of the event.
“Go Grade 12 Class A”
“Go! Iris Go!”
“Go Go Go!”
Cheers and shout of my class dominated the auditorium.
"Whoo! This is it!" I nervously said to myself. I went to stage looking calm. Sat down in front of the piano and started playing. I felt relaxed and less nervous when I continuously played.
“Waaaahh! We love you Iris!”
"Whoooooo!"
"Fighting!"
All I can hear is the shouting and clapping of the students. All I can say is I performed well based on the reactions of my audience.
"Thank you for that wonderful performance Ms. Del Valle.” Emcee said
“Thank you!” I replied and smiled to the host and to the audience while waving good bye. After that I went to the backstage and headed to Alex.
“Waaaaah! I’m done, I’m done!”
“ Yiiee! Your so cool up there, I’m so proud of you!” Alex said it while we are holding are hands and jumping like crazy. When Steph saw it, she joins with us.
“Now, for our next performance may I call on Ms. Jenny Del Mundo."
“Jenny Del Mundo?”
But no one is going up on stage; Jenny is nowhere to be seen.
“Calling for Ms. Del Mundo" The emcee repeated.
"Where is she? She might be disqualified if she did not show up." I said to Alex.
"I haven't seen her yet, I think she will not show up. She must still be upset on what happened to Mia." Alex replied.
The competition goes on and the awarding ceremony comes but still no Jenny showed up.
“And now I will announce who is the winner of the singing competition”
Tententenententen…….
I hold both of my hands tight because of this nerve-wracking moment. We seating on the front seat on the left side while announcing the winner.
“Congratulation…Ms. Iris Rain Del Valle from Grade-12 Class A!"
When I heard it, I almost jump on my sit but still I composed myself and went to stage.
“Thank you everyone!” I said while waving at them.
