It’s finally the day of the Luna crowning ceremony.
Excitement flutters in my chest as I stand in front of the mirror, barely recognizing the woman staring back.
Goddess, I look so breathtaking.
Even Matteo wouldn’t stop saying it earlier. He repeated it up to a hundred times before dashing off to handle last-minute things.
“You look amazing , Anika,” Jenny’s voice comes from behind me as she clasps a beaded necklace around my neck. She stays for a second before stepping up beside me.
“The necklace really does suit you,” she says with a teasing grin.
“It does… thank you, Jenny.” I can’t help but smile back, my hand gliding over the beads as they glimmer against my skin. “Please tell me this is from you, because it’s stunning. And honestly, it looks way too expensive.”
