High Temperature

Sana Pov

"Please leave me.. let me go.. no" I screamed and opened my eyes. I was sweating badly. I realised it was a nightmare... I was still breathing heavily. Then someone raised a glass towards me. I saw on the side that no one else but my saviour.. he indicated to me to drink water. I took a glass from his hand and drank water. I had tears in my eyes. He extended his hand to wipe my tears but because of fear, I moved back a little on the bed. I was hell-frightened and shivering because of the nightmare of my horrible past month that I just saw. He maintained some distance from me.

"don't worry, you're safe now. Since it's nighttime, you should sleep again. The doctor said: ``You will take time to recover and you need rest so sleep well" he muttered and left the room. I looked around. That's when I realised he was the one who saved my life again. He brought me out of that hell.

"Maya" I called out to my wolf but she didn't respond. Maybe Wolfsbane still affected me. my eyes went to the frame of my saviour photo, hanging on the wall. I was looking at that photo when I realised something, I scan the whole room again

"It was his room. Why did he bring me to his room?" I thought and started getting panicked. So much has happened to me in the past month that I can't trust anyone anymore. what if he is the same as that moron, he also wants to use me for quivering his thrust. I felt goosebumps all over my body as anticipation ran through my body about his intention. What if he saved me just to use my body?

"no... I will not let anyone use me again. I will not let him touch me" I thought and got out of bed but I fell, and that's when I felt immense pain in my whole body, especially in my intimate part. I remembered he beat the hell out of me last time, especially there. I put my hand in my trousers and touched myself down there and I felt something wet. I looked at my hand and there was blood.

"Aah," I hissed again because of the pain. I looked around to ask someone for help but there was no one in the room. I stood up keeping my hand on the bed but suddenly I started feeling dizzy and my legs stumbled but before I could fall to the ground again, someone held me by the waist. I opened my eyes and looked at that person. It was no other than my saviour.

"Ohh god... Sano" he picked me up in his arms and made me lay on the bed.

"doctor" I heard him yelling and that's when a lady entered. I held his hand because of immense pain and a tear rolled down my eyes.

"Please check her. She is in immense pain, I can feel that. maybe because of an injury. please do something." he muttered

"ok… you please go out"

He was about to go but I was holding his hand. He realised his hand from my hand and wiped my tears and kissed my temple.

"don't worry... This pain will end soon and I am standing outside the room, no need to be afraid" he said and left the room.

"Let me give you an injection. you will feel better" that lady mumbled and came to me. She injected something into my veins and removed my trousers. She was treating me and I was aware of what she was doing. Soon my pain ended and I dozed off.

Alex Pov's

I was waiting for the doctor outside the room to know about Sano's health.

"How is she, doctor? Why is she bleeding and in so much pain? Will she be in pain like this until her wolf doesn't show her presence or her wounds don't heal?" I asked all the questions in one go when the doctor came outside.

"The blood was because of her internal injuries. It will take time to heal and as I said earlier she's not fine and the worst part is my medicine is not working on her and her immune system is also not working properly."

"Is it because of too much use of wolfsbane on her?" I asked

"maybe but I'm afraid of that," she paused.

"Afraid what? Why did you stop? say it" I asked feeling scared thinking what was coming next.

"wolfsbane is dangerous for wolves and it was given to her continuously since last month. I give her medicines so that the wolfsbane effect neutralises her blood but nothing is working. I hope it will work on her with time but if my medicine does not work on her then her wolf may died" My eyes widened hearing her, this is the last thing I expected to hear. I can't imagine how Sano will handle the pain of separation from her wolf. Even me and Dominic will not be able to recover from the pain of losing Maya.

"Well, just pray to the moon goddess that my medicine will work on her otherwise she will lose her wolf after some days as her wolf is dying gradually." the doctor said. I didn't reply and went inside the room and sat beside her on the bed. She was sleeping because of the effects of the medicine. I held her hand and kissed her knuckles.

"Why the moon goddess? Why is there so much in her life? She lost her husband, she lost her child and now her wolf please don't do this otherwise I won't be able to forgive myself. nor I would attack her pack neither her condition would be like this"

"don't be a coward!" my wolf, Dominic, mocked. "we know that it's not your fault so stop blaming yourself for what you didn't do" I nod and look at Sana. who was moving here and there in her sleep and blubbering something.

"Please leave me.. please.. don't do this.. please" Thanks to my werewolf power that i can hear clearly what she's saying. I kissed her forehead and held her hand with one hand and with another I caressed her hair.

"shh... relax... I'm here.. nothing bad will happen… I'm here with you" I tried to calm her and soon she again went into deep slumber. I was about to release my hand from her but she held my hand tightly and I didn't want to disturb her. I sat like that, near her.

The whole night I was just watching Sana and taking care of her as she was having nightmares again and again because of her painful past and I was cooing her telling her everything was fine but at 4.00 a.m. when I slept a little she woke up screaming because of which my sleep also got broken. I sat straight worriedly looking at her while she was looking at me with fearful eyes and then when she realised it was me who saved her, she hugged me tightly.

"please save me.. please. please tell him to leave me please" she started crying.

"Hey relax.. calm down.. no one will harm you… calm down queen"

"Angel," she mumbled while holding my shirt. I look at her…

"Please don't leave me… I know you're an angel sent by god.. please don't leave me. I'm tired now. I can't face anything bad anymore please be with me. I know nothing bad can happen as long as you're with me" She said while hiding her face in my neck. a tear rolled down from my eyes feeling her pain but at the same time, there was a smile on my face, seeing her trust in me.

"I will never leave you… never" I said and I didn't only say to her but it's a promise to myself. no matter what happens I will never leave her side. I moved my hand on her back to coo her and let her cry because I know she faced so much. it's better if she gets out of her pain. After an hour she finally calmed down a little bit. I broke the hug and looked at her. her eyes were closed and her face turned red because of crying.. she went back to sleep but still sobbing.

"Sana" I wiped her tears. That's when I realised her body temperature was high.

'ohh god.. why is her body temperature so high? Is she on her heat? Because when a she-wolf met her mate went on heat and that time her body temperature was high like this and then she wanted to mate with her partner as soon as possible' I asked Dominic.

'No if she were on her then we would smell her arousal but there is nothing like that. There is something weird and I'm sure it is not good,' Dominic said.

'What should we do now?' I asked him, getting panicked.

'we should talk to Ella. She is a witch, maybe she would help us' Dominic suggested.

'you're right in this situation, only she can help us but I don't want to leave her alone.' I mumbled seeing the sleeping beauty in my arms. She slept while hugging me. I made her lay on the bed and caressed her hair with my hand.

'Witch asked for something in return and we know Ella is a cunning witch.' Dominic muttered.

'I can give her my everything for her. I just want my Sano to be healthy and happy like before. I want to see her smile which I hadn't seen till now' I moved my hand on her cheeks. She hissed when I accidentally touched the cut on her right cheek.

"sorry," I muttered, removing my hand and kissing her forehead.

'we should not waste our time. let's meet Ella' my wolf snarled.

'Will you be arrogant with her like you're with others?' I asked Dominic.

'How can someone be arrogant with this angel? my angel... I haven't met Maya in this life but I'm sure she's as beautiful as our mate'

'agreed'

'What if this heat is related to Maya's health?' I could feel how scared my wolf is like me for Maya.

'No matter what it is we will fight for her' I mumbled. Dominic didn't reply. I was about to leave to meet Ella but Sano was not ready to leave my hand. I sat beside her.

'Let it be… we will meet Ella in the morning right now she needs us' Dominic sighed. I nod and sit beside her. I was just staring at her.

I didn't even know how the time flew. She opened her beautiful blue eyes and looked at me. We had a beautiful eye contact. Neither she's saying something nor I. We just keep staring at each other. maybe trying to read each other's emotions in their eyes. I don't know when we kept staring at each other until I felt something wet in my hand. I looked at my hand and there was blood. my eyes went to her stomach there was also blood.. blood was oozing out of all her injuries. I was dumbstruck, not knowing what was happening to her.
