Melody’s POV
I woke up to Reed shifting me off of him and tucking me in. The feeling of comfort I had felt just moments ago was replaced with a feeling of panic in the air that instantly put me on high alert. I heard him sigh as he began to climb out of bed and I opened my eyes, wondering what was going on.
“Get dressed and hide in the bathroom for now.” Reeds' voice rang out in desperation.
I felt a pain in my heart. Had I really fooled myself into believing I could have something good for once? Now he wanted me to hide in the bathroom. I scooped up my clothes and tried to hide the pain and confusion, but there was no masking the pain I felt. Did he have someone else? I was just a slave after all.
