Chapter 7

Theo I leaned against the bus, waiting for the coach to return so we could head home. What could he possibly be doing?! I groaned. Probably sitting on the toilet… Axel muttered. I couldn’t deny that he was probably right. I watched as a girl walked down the street towards me. Something about her intrigued me. She looked as if she was lost in her own thoughts. She stormed down the road, looking at the traffic for a break in the cars to cross. She was mesmerising. Her long brown hair hung loose down her back, her pale skin a stark contrast. She had bright blue eyes that I could spot from this distance away. Her cheeks were touched with freckles adorning her skin. She was not tall but a certain power rolled off of her. “This day just keeps getting better and better…” she sighed to herself as she stopped on the side of the road waiting for a opening in the traffic to cross. “Are you alright?” I asked. I don’t know why I said anything at all to be honest. The words fell out of my mouth before I could even stop them. The familiar smell of strawberries and cream crept into the air. Must still have it on my mind… I commented to myself. The goddess has plans. Axel muttered. I scrunched my face with confusion. I stepped out of the shadow and towards the girl standing on the side of the road. She appeared to look me up and down. I smirked as her eyes roamed. I got a better view of her searing blue eyes standing merely a metre away from her. They were crystal clear. Reminded me of the blue wolf I saw this morning. “I’m fine.” She shook her head and glanced down at her feet nervously. “You look a little worked up.” I stated with a smile as I stepped towards her again. She looked up at me momentarily before returning her eye-line to the ground. I desperately wanted to place my finger on her chin and tip her face back up towards mine. I shook my head to try and dispel the thoughts from my mind. “It has just been a rough day.” She mumbled and mindlessly pushed the dirt around on the side of the road with her foot. “I didn’t see you at the football game today?” I asked, raising my eyebrows at her. Feeling my whole body reacting to the smell of strawberries and cream. Why am I smelling it now? The girl I spoke to before isn’t here… I muttered with confusion. She must have made an impression? Axel offered. Has to be it. I replied. “I’m not a huge fan of sport.” She shrugged her shoulders and looked up at me. Her freckled cheeks blushed. I laughed at her expression of complete distain. I couldn’t help but wonder why she didn’t like sport so much. There must be a backstory to that reaction. “I see…” I sighed, “do you live around here?” I c****d my head to the side and asked. “Around.” She muttered, “you clearly do not.” She added, gesturing at the bus behind me. I smirked. Suddenly, I noticed a group of Red Shadow footballers walking towards us, elbowing each other and pointing at me. I could tell from their expressions that I should not be talking to this girl. I didn’t want to end the conversation, but I also didn’t want to get her into more trouble. Something tells me, she has had enough of today already. “Will I see you around?” I asked as I looked back at her. Gazing into her eyes again. I could feel her connection through eye contact. “Maybe.” She smirked and shrugged her shoulders. I couldn’t fight the chuckle. “I hope so!” I winked and jogged towards the door of the bus. I really did hope I saw her again. As soon as I reached the door of the bus she quickly walked across the road in the break of the cars. I watched her through the bus window as she walked down the road a little further. “Who is that?” Tom asked as I sat down beside him. “I don’t actually know…” I muttered, eyes still fixated on her figure as she walked further and further away. “Two in one day! You’re on a roll! Imagine what you’ll do at the eighteenth tonight!” Tom winked and nudged me gently. I sighed as I gazed out the window. My mind fixated on those blue eyes. I sat on a chair in the corner of the Great Stone Pack Hall. The party was going on around me as if I wasn’t even there. Every now and again, another pack member would come up to me and introduce themselves. “Theo, it is so nice to see you.” One of the pack elders commented as he sat beside me. “Thank you Harry. It is a nice party.” I smiled absentmindedly. All I was thinking about was the girl with the blue eyes. But they were mixed with the strawberries and cream scent of Sienna. My mind was in a mix. I didn’t know what to think. “Are you alright lad?” Elder Harry asked. “I’m fine…” I muttered, mesmerised by the lights that were strung across the roof. “Are you sure?” Harry asked again. “Mhm… do you know when the Honorary Alpha’s Ball is?” I wondered. Perhaps that will be my opportunity to see them again. “This coming Saturday.” Elder Harry stated. Squinting his eyes at me curiously. “Good.” I nodded. “Can you please contact them to confirm my attendance.” I asked, standing up from the chair and stretching my back. “Oh course. I will let the Alpha know that it is your intention to attend.” Elder Harry said as I walked towards the exit of the hall. I was just about outside the door when a red-manicured hand reached out and blocked the exit. “Where do you think you are going?” Leia asked with a flirty tone. Leia’s long blonde hair was curled and flowing over her shoulders. Her tight, red mini dress was showing off her assets and her high heels elongated her legs. Usually, I would have already charmed her into coming back to the Alphas house with me, but there was not ever a single ounce of want in me now. The scent of strawberries and cream and the blue, blue eyes were all my mind could think of. “I have to go, Leia.” I sighed, taking hold of her hand and returning it to her side. She wrapped her other hand around my bicep and pushed her chest up against it. The smell of her pungent perfume made my nostrils burn. “Come on! Stay for another dance!” She gushed, reaching forward so that her words brushed her lips against my skin. “Sorry, I have to go.” I shook my head and continued walking out the door. She crossed her arms across her chest and stomped her feet. “Where is he going?” I heard another girl ask as she stood beside Leia. “Who knows…” she muttered. “Well, he doesn’t know what he is missing.” The girl replied. I could imagine the face she was pulling as she said it. Nose in the air, eyebrows raised. “f**k him.” Leia muttered. She’ll try to message later. Axel laughed. Let’s hope not! I rolled my eyes.
