Amanda woke up the next morning with a smile on her face. Last night had been more than she could have hoped for. She and David had connected on a deeper level, and the performance by the twins had been electric. She checked her phone, hoping to see a message from David, but found nothing yet. Trying not to overthink it, her phone rang. She picked up, it was her friend inviting her out so she decided to head to the mall to meet up with her friends. As she walked through the bustling mall, she felt her phone buzz. It was a message from David: "Morning, Amanda! How's your day going?" Amanda’s heart skipped a beat. She quickly replied, "Morning! Just at the mall with some friends. How about you?" David replied almost instantly, "Rehearsing a bit with Daniel, but maybe we'll swing by the mall later. Which one are you at?" Amanda felt a flutter of excitement. "Sunrise Mall. Would be great to see you guys!" "Sounds good. We'll see you there," David replied. Amanda told her friends about the possibility of David and Daniel coming to the mall. They were excited and eager to meet the twins, having heard so much about them. The anticipation made the shopping trip even more enjoyable. As Amanda and her friends browsed through stores, she kept an eye out for David and Daniel. Finally, while they were in a trendy boutique, she heard a familiar voice. "Hey, Amanda!" She turned to see David and Daniel walking towards them, both smiling. David looked more relaxed today, while Daniel's presence was as vibrant as ever. "Hey, guys! You made it!" Amanda said, genuinely pleased to see them. David hugged her briefly, while Daniel gave her a more enthusiastic hug. "This place is huge," Daniel said, looking around. "What are we shopping for?" Amanda introduced her friends to the twins, and they quickly hit it off. The group decided to grab some food at the mall's food court, chatting and laughing as they went. As they settled at a table with their food, the conversation flowed effortlessly. Nina's friends were charmed by Daniel's outgoing personality and impressed by David's quiet but thoughtful contributions. Whilst the group waited for their food to arrive, Amanda and David excused themselves. The first thing David did was hug Amanda,"I missed you, but I’m glad to see you now." Amanda giggled at David’s comment. "I enjoyed the performance yesterday. It was indeed awesome." They soon went back inside as the food was served. "So, how long have you guys been performing together?" one of Amanda's friends asked. Daniel took the lead. "Since we were kids, really. We always had a passion for music. It just made sense to do it together." David nodded. "Yeah, it's like we understand each other perfectly when it comes to creating music. We balance each other out." Amanda listened, fascinated by the dynamics between the twins. She could see how they complemented each other, both on stage and off. After lunch, the group split up to explore more of the mall. Nina found herself walking with Daniel while her friends stuck with David. As they browsed through various stores, Amanda noticed how different Daniel was from David. Daniel was confident, often striking up conversations with strangers and making jokes. He was a natural people person, much like herself. "So, what do you think of David?" Daniel asked, catching her off guard. Amanda hesitated. "I really like him. He's sweet, and we get along well." Daniel nodded thoughtfully. "He likes you a lot, you know. He's always been a bit shy, but I've never seen him this interested in someone before." Amanda felt a warmth spread through her. "That means a lot, Daniel. I really enjoy spending time with him." Daniel smiled, but there was something in his eyes—an intensity that made Amanda a bit uneasy. She quickly brushed it off, attributing it to his naturally extroverted nature. Later, as they all regrouped, Amanda's friends pulled her aside. "So, what do you think of Daniel?" one of them asked. Amanda was taken aback. "He's great. Why?" "Well, we think you and Daniel would be perfect together," her friend said. "You both have that outgoing, lively vibe. David's nice, but he's so quiet." Amanda felt a pang of confusion. "I really like David. We have a connection." Her friends exchanged glances. "Just think about it. Sometimes the obvious choice isn't the right one." Amanda nodded, trying to process their words. She didn’t want to doubt her feelings for David, but her friends’ comments planted a seed of uncertainty. As the day wound down, they all decided it was time to head home. Amanda walked with David and Daniel towards the exit, feeling a mixture of emotions. "We should do this again sometime," David said, smiling at her. "Definitely," Amanda agreed, feeling a bit of that initial excitement returning. Daniel grinned. "Maybe next time we can show you around our studio. Give you a peek behind the scenes." Amanda's eyes lit up. "I’d love that." As they said their goodbyes, Amanda hugged both twins, lingering a bit longer with David. "Thanks for coming out today. It was fun." "Yeah, it was," David replied, his eyes softening as he looked at her. "I'll text you later, okay?" Amanda nodded. "Sure. Talk to you then." As soon as she got home, Amanda ’s mind was a whirl of thoughts. She enjoyed spending time with both David and Daniel, but her friends’ comments left her feeling conflicted. She needed to sort out her feelings and figure out what she truly wanted. For now, she decided to take things one day at a time, enjoying the journey and seeing where it would lead.
