Chapter 8

Alex's pov:

You have got to be kidding me. Of all people to be the new boss it just had to be Blake, son of Mr and Mrs Hawthrone

Wait that means everything about the Hawthrone's son is about Blake. He just uses women for s*x and gets rid of them. Wait, was I gonna be next? He would get me in bed and never speak to me again. That son of a b***h.

This is why I should just never date. Every man that looks at me always end up hurting me emotionally and physically. First Scott and now Blake my love life is just a huge mess.

I knew I shouldn't have gone to that club with Indigo. I can't wait to tell her about all of this.

While I'm midway typing on my computer, I best heels clanking on the floor towards me. Great now here comes Stella to bring down my mood even more.

She stops in front of me and just stays quiet so I just decided to start the conversation to get her away from here faster.

What do you want Stella?" I ask her

"I need you to take the files to Mr Hawthrone," she says. I can not go there why Sasha is she doing this to me I thought she would jump at the chance to be in a room with him

"And why can't you do it?" I ask

"That's none of your business," she says

"Fine, do it yourself," I say

"But I can't," she says

"And why is that?" I ask. She sighs and then answers my question

"He's banned me from coming into his office for the rest of the day" I try my hardest to hold in a laughter but it just comes out.

After a few seconds, I look towards tells and she's got an angry look on her face so I just stop. She then puts the files on the table and stomps away.

I really don't want to see him right now but I don't have a choice. So I pick up the files and walk towards his office.

When I get there, there are two bodyguards stationed outside of his office. I knock on the door.

"Come in" is all I hear.

I open his door and I see a few more of his bodyguards in there with him.

"How may I help you?" He ask me. Is that it? I knew he was just using me he's acting like he doesn't know me.

"Stella said that she's unable to bring you these files do asked me to do it," I say to him

"Oh right, you can just place them on my desk," he says and I do it but for some reason I just stand there expecting him to say something to me

Yet he doesn't.

He looks up at me and says, "Was there anything else?" What the f**k? Is that all he has to say to me.

I scoff then say " No there was nothing else" then turn around and walk out of there.

I go back to my seat and I just roll my eyes at my stupid self. But Josh and Cynthia

"What's wrong with you," Josh asks

"It's the idiotic person who is now in charge here," I say in an angry tone

"Yikes, what did he do to you? He got here not even up to an hour ago" Cynthia asks

"I knew him before he got here," I say

"what do you mean?" she asks

I question myself whether I should tell them or not and I choose to tell them because they're my friends.

A few minutes later

I've told them how I met him and everything that went on between us a few that. They both looked surprised.

"Have you told Sasha yet?" he asks me

"No not yet I'm going to tell her at lunch break though which is in 10 minutes," I say looking at my phone time.

"You should because she is definitely going to want to know," she says

"Yeah I know" Sasha loves gossip its what she lives for.

"Don't worry he's an asshole for ignoring you now. f**k him" she says

"I guess so," I say while giggling

"But what if he's not ignoring you on purpose?" John asks

"What are you talking about?" I ask

"Well, he came here to learn responsibility and not be a player and sleep with lots of women. So he's probably going to try and stay easy from women who might tempt him" john says

So I tempt him? Wait he stopped Stella from entering his office does she tempt him. Great now I sound like a crazy jealous girlfriends.

"He does have a point, Alex, he's probably trying to fix his reputation now ruin it by being with a woman in his workplace," Cynthia says

"You know what let's just forget about him and focus on ourselves ill just tell Sasha and Indigo and be done with it"

"How is indigo by the way?" she asks

"Oh she's fine," I say

"How about us five hang out at your place tonight and order food or something"

"Yeah it can get your mind off of 'you know who' we can watch a movie as well," she says

I see everyone else get up and walk out showing that it's lunch break so three of us walk toward Sasha who is outside waiting for us.

"I need to tell you something" is what I say to her once we reach her

So for the next few minutes as we are walking down the street to the closest cafe I explain everything about blake to her including east Josh said about him trying to fix his reputation

"So what are you going to do now? She asks me

"I'm just gonna forget and ignore him. It was stupid of me to believe he was interested in me"

"Who needs boys when you have friends like us," she says as we enter the cafe and sit down at a random table.

I order a sandwich, chocolate chip cookie and a takeaway coffee, Cynthia bought a chicken avocado burrito with an americano coffee, josh bought a sausage roll, a muffin and orange juice and Sasha bought a chicken salad and a  hot chocolate.

We all talk about what we're going to do later on tonight while we're eating and after we all finished, we left to go back towards work.
