Calm Before The Storm

I looked into those familiar eyes and was overcome with so much love. I ran up to Darien and hugged him tightly.

"How have you been?" I asked. He smiled and embraced me a bit longer.

"I have missed you so much," Darien said.

"I know, I am sorry I didn't come to find you sooner and you know I have to keep a low profile," I said.

"But you're here now?" he asked.

"We have a slight problem," I said. "Someone has found Mikhail's dagger and transferred its powers unto themselves."

"Do they know about you," he questioned.

"No, but I fear I might have no other choice then to make my self know to the world if we can't stop him," I said.

"What do you need from me," he said.

"Your coven, We need to hunt him down and kill him," I said. Darien caressed my hair and led me to his private table to have a drink.

"So I see Henry is still around," Darien said.

"Yes, he is my dearest friend," I said.

I have not been able to sleep since Sapphire left last night. I spent the entire night looking at my phone hoping she would check-in. It's been two days since Jessica got attacked by her old friend. Sapphire is coming home today. She finally called and let me know she was okay. Jessica's plan seemed stupid but may be stupid enough to work. Cole and her left to go work on that plan two days ago. We have to hurry before Lincoln becomes more powerful and learns to use his newfound powers properly. I heard the cars approaching and ran to greet my mate.

"Christian, this is Darien the vampire king," she said. I rolled my eyes at him and didn't speak.

"Whatever," I said. "The last thing I need is another vamp in my home."

"Christian," Sapphire snapped. "Please be nice, he is a very important person to me."

"Nope," I protested. She rolled her eyes in response and just walked away.

"So, now that we have Darien and his coven we will hunt down Lincoln and his followers and kill them," Sapphire said so passionately.

"Um, well, he attacked Jessica and she came up with a plan to stop him, so," I spoke.

"So, so what is her genius plan," Sapphire asked. "He should have just killed her."

"I agree, but well her plan is to gain the upper hand by finding someone more powerful to defeat him," I said.

"Christian, that's what I went and did, who is this person she wants to find," Sapphire said.

"The lycan heir?" I said not really knowing who it was.

"EXCUSE YOU!" she shouted.

"She said she wanted to go look for the lycan heir tomb and resurrect him," I said.

"She can't!" Sapphire growled. I never heard her growl before.

"Well, she went off in search of him," I said.

"And you just let her," Sapphire spoke."You're AN i***t. We have to stop her."

"Okay, okay, what's wrong," I said.

"The lycan heir is a madman, a monster, you can't just ask him for help," the new vamp said.

"Oh, oh s**t," I said. "Look, maybe she hasn't found him yet."

"The dog is right, Do you really think she found his tomb?" The blonde vamp said.

"Stop!" Sapphire shouted and stormed out of the room. I tried to run after her but the vampires stopped me.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I knew Christian knew nothing about him but he should know that was not a smart idea. What if she did find him and managed to wake him up. Everything I worked hard to stay erased would come back. How would we stop him this time? He would kill us all. I knew I had to find Jessica and stop her before she found the tomb. I ran back into the packhouse.

"We have to stop her before it's too late," I said. I looked at Henry, Marius, and Darien and nodded. I looked at Christian with pleading eyes and he nodded as well. We all left in search of her. I asked a group of hunters long ago to bury him for me and tell no one of his whereabouts so I have no idea where he is buried. Christian called Cole but he never got an answer or call back. We searched everywhere and asked around for anyone who had seen them. It's like they vanished into thin air. There were no signs of them and Christian couldn't even mind link, Cole. I was getting worried but I would hold some hope. We searched all day and night. We decided to stay at a motel for the night.

"You okay?" Christian asked me.

"Yeah, I'm just exhausted. I laid on his chest and tried to close my eyes.
