It had been two weeks since Lee-Roy joined St. Peters and Callum still didn't understand why he followed him everywhere. Be it class, lunch or during P.E Lee-Roy plastered himself near Callum at all times. Today Roy decided on a different strategy as lunch approached he sat quietly on the desk and did nor said anything. The bell indicating that it was lunch rang and Callum cleared his stuff then left. Roy watched him leave the class and he felt greatly disappointed but he finally got his answer. He felt exhausted when he thought that he was back to square one which was eating by the door of the cafeteria. Besides Callum nobody else had noticed him even though he had been here for a full two weeks and even Callum noticed him because he was the one doing the following.
"Aren't you hungry today?" Callum stood by their desk looking at him "Huh?" Roy was relieved and excited at the same time "You don't want to have lunch? I can totally meet you at the library after I eat." Callum thought he probably had no appetite. Roy stood up and gave Callum a bro-hug "Let's go eat, I want a big meal today." He smiled.
The following day the school was in a frenzy because it was results day, the results for class entry tests and they were posted on the big board. All students were waiting but Roy and Callum couldn't care less. They sat in the cafeteria again "You look happy." Callum commented looking at Roy smiling as he ate "Of course I am, We're friends now." He smiled and Callum felt the heartstrings of his heart being tugged at "You're that happy that I'm your friend?" He wasn't sure whether he was being serious or not but when Roy nodded vehemently grinning from ear to ear Callum felt good. They were peacefully eating and celebrating the start of their friendship when suddenly people in the cafeteria gave stares and glares towards them. Roy was oblivious to them but not Callum he felt the attention they were getting not to forget the secret whispers.
"What did you do?" Callum asked, Roy looked up with his mouth full and gave Callum an innocent look "What?" He spoke with his mouth full "Eww, finish chewing." Roy gulped the whole thing right down "I did nothing." He answered and Callum believed him and they went back to eating. Lunch was soon to end and Callum dragged Roy "Come on let's go see your rank." He giggled "I want to know how intelligent my friend is." Roy went nonchalantly.
Donna had frozen on the spot and glaring at the board, she was clenching her books so tight she would have ripped them. Viola, Billy and Hazel all stood by her they wanted to hug and comfort her but she was a danger zone at this point so they kept themselves at arms length it was so serious that even Billy didn't bring any snacks. Callum stood right next to Donna and started looking for Roy's name but he started looking from the bottom going up and he couldn't find his name so he started again until he went to very first name written Lee-Roy (student number:xxx). Callum was stuck looking at the name he couldn't believe that his friend had topped the entire school. The amount of happiness he felt for his friend was immense "Yes!" He exclaimed jumping "you did great man." They did a bro hug and Roy could only smile but Callum was so happy he suddenly poked Donna without even realizing who she was "Look at that, my man is a genius!" He exclaimed turning to look at who was standing next to him and the first thing he saw was Donna glaring at him like she had just killed him 77 times in her head with different methods. Callum slowly retracted his hand and pressed his lips together because he knew what was going on.
"You are Lee-Roy?" Viola asked and he nodded. Callum pulled his friend away while whispering "we need to leave."
"That was rude." Roy told him and Callum looked at him like he was an alien "you don't even know what you just did right?" Roy shook his head and Callum wanted to tell him but he decided Roy will see for himself. Lee-Roy hated this week everyone knew who he was and they all just kept coming to ask for help from him, the people in charge of the school newspaper also didn't stop bothering him. This was a huge scoop for them Donna Williams had come second to him, they needed to have his face plastered everywhere on their newspaper. Roy wasn't the only one bothered by the newspaper board even Donna was being followed everywhere they finally wanted to interview her again. They had stopped doing interviews with her when she kept coming top place because it got old but now that she was second for the very first time in years they wanted to know how she felt.
Callum didn't come to school today and Roy was bored out of his wits so to avoid the stares and just everybody he decided to skip lunch and go sit at the basketball court. He thought he would be alone but he found some charming chick shooting some woops. He observed her for a minute then walked in and started screaming like a commentator. Donna dropped the ball when he saw him and Roy picked it up and landed a 3-pointer. Donna rolled her eyes and proceeded to land a 5-pointer. Roy was impressed so much so he started clapping hands but something pissed Donna about him so he passed him the ball and said let's play. Roy was a sweetheart but he never said no to a fair competition. The two played each other until they finally dropped. Of course Donna won by 5 points and they were laying on the floor catching their breaths.
"You are really good." Roy complimented after a few moments of silence. Donna suddenly stood up and gave him a hand "let's go I'll buy you a drink." She smirked and Roy took her hand and they made way to the vending machine. Class was about to begin and Donna went to change out of her sports clothes, she came back holding a blazer and a clean shirt "here I noticed yours are kinda sweaty." She handed him the blazer and the shirt "I don't own a pair of trousers and I'm really not sorry about that." She said that in a cheeky way. Roy changed into the shirt and blazer and they fit, guess being slim and tall really helped the both of them.
With only ten minutes left to lunch Roy made his way to get food and yes everyone was staring at him but he assumed it was because well he had ranked number one. Friday finally came Callum and his friend were ready for the weekend. "What are you wearing?" Callum asked Roy whe he sat next to him "Clothes."
"Yeah I can see that but why are you wearing Donna Williams blazer and shirt?" Roy's eyes widened in shock "How did you know they were not mine?" Callum was done with friends ignorance "Because it says so right on your left nipple." Roy looked at and it read Student Body: Donna Williams (student number:xxxx). Roy couldn't take back the blazer now, he was wearing it plus he couldn't wash his blazer and shirt yesterday because his mother said it was soon to be weekend and they will just do laundry by then. He went on his day without a care in a world but then his confident looking a*s caught attention of the Princes of St. Peters. Word got to Xander that Donna's uniform had been worn by some guy they don't know on his side this was utter respect, how dare someone wears his woman's clothes? He demanded a picture of this i***t and his minions didn't disappoint, they even took one with Roy wearing the blazer and the shirt. "That's clear evidence right there." Alex teased "Yes as clear as your head." Xander fake smiled and Alex pouted, he hated being reminded that he was bald and that the only place he has ever shaved in his life was his face, the rest of his body was smooth like a baby's bottom. They all looked at each other and you wouldn't believe the mischievous thoughts they had for Roy, but that can wait until the weekend is over.
