It's been two days now and the war has already enveloped everyone, casting a long dark shadow over the lives of those who lived through it. The small Hamlet nestled in the rolling hills of Amana, a village that shares boundary with Jos, '' The Big City''. the war has been calm for the past hour and women came out in a hurry, some to get provisions, others in search of a way out of the village to safety, the men were obviously still in the bushies hiding away and laying ambush for their enemies. Children in their confused state, still don't understand why they have to be quiet, why they can't go outside and play, well atleast, they haven't had to go to school since. Although the sounds of gunshot scared them, the looks on their mother's faces made them cry. Just as everyone hurried to salvage what they could, sounds of distant gunfire began echoing in the distance , it was heard throughout the countryside. The villagers, mostly young women and young adults ran from pillar to post in search of safety, everyone was determined to survive, they all want to live, ofcourse, no one wants to die especially not by the gun in the hands of their brutal enemy. In the safety of their hideouts, they felt less safe knowing that the war out there has engulfed their once peaceful haven, all there is now is chaos, strife and death. Among the villagers hiding was a young woman named lydia. With her brown bright eyes and simple hair make, she exuded a quiet strength that belied her tender age. She was born and had grown up in this village, surrounded by the love of her family and the warmth of her community. She has seen one to many wars and each time, she dislikes the idea of having to hide, instead of helping out in her own little way, she had read stories of how women helped to bring wars to an end with their little kind gestures. She is determined to do something after the war ends, she is not sure what it is she has to do yet but anxiously awiats the end of the war. For the moment, she have decided to go out and help any wonded man on the field and supply them water and food. But as she was about to step out into the raging war, the familiar rhythms of life began to unravel, and Lydia found herself drawn into a world filled with uncertainty and fear. So she changed her mind and stayed back with the rest of the women. One fateful day, Lydia received news from her beloved older brother, Sabo, who had been called to serve in the war front, that the war was severe and there been been sevaral casualties, Sabo urged her to stay safe as there seem to be no end in sight to the war. As she read his heartfelt words, she felt a surge of anguish and dread. Her heart ached at the thought of Sabo risking his life on the front lines, and she vowed to do whatever she could to support him from afar.Determined to contribute to the war effort, lydia volunteered to work as a nurse at a nearby farm house which has been converted to a care center. The sights and sounds of the wounded soldiers haunted her, but she remained steadfast in her resolve to provide comfort and care to those in need. Despite the hardships and the toll the war took on her spirit, Iydia persevered, finding solace in the knowledge that she was making a difference in the lives of others.Meanwhile, on the other side of the war, a young man named Abdul found himself embroiled in the tumult of war. He and his partners had found themselves where they waged a valiant struggle against the forces of the opposition . Abdul had always been a brave and resourceful man, but the horrors of war tested his resolve in ways he could never have imagined. In the midst of the battle, Abdul's team were ambushed and he found himself behind enemy lines. Injured and disoriented, he managed to evade capture and stumbled upon a remote farmhouse which served as a care center nestled in the countryside. It was there that he met Iydia, who had been tending to the wounded men from her village brought in from the front. Their paths converged in a moment of unexpected connection, and despite their differences, they found a common bond in their shared humanity. She struggled to hide him from the others who will kill him without a single thought, for he was first an enemies before he was a man. As Abdul convalesced under Iydia's care, their friendship blossomed into something deeper. Through quiet conversations and lingering glances, they discovered a profound kinship that transcended the barriers of war and circumstance. Despite the tumultuous backdrop of the conflict that surrounded them, they found solace in each other's presence, drawing strength from the unspoken understanding that bound their hearts together. However, their newfound happiness was short-lived, as news reached the village of his existence. The villagers rallied together, determined to kill Abdul and to resist this encroaching darkness that he has brought with him, they believe he is a spy sent to sought ways to extinguish.
