Chapter 25October 14th, 2014 Bramson Bay, Oregon I walked into the Bramson Bay City Hall on a sunny, brisk October day and it was as if the weather had suddenly changed the moment I got inside, glass crunching under my feet. The air smelled rotten. The city hall stank like a flooded cemetery. Rotten flesh mixed with the briny, muddy smell of low tide. Maybe some people would have thought of seafood and clam chowder.
