Twisting his little hand, Zion was able to free his hand from Quincy's grasp. At the same time, he nimbly hopped onto her right leg with all of his weight.
She screamed as she held her leg in pain.
Zion smiled smugly and said, "Take that, you evil woman. This is your punishment. You bullied my mommy, and you even tried to hit me!"
While looking at the crowd, he addressed them sincerely. "Dear everyone, my mommy works extremely hard on these bentos every day these bentos, and as you can see, I'm still fine. You've all been eating my mommy's bentos for so long that you should know better than anybody that there's nothing wrong with our bentos!"
At this time, the words of a female doctor broke the silence. "Yes, I agree. Everyone, think about it. We have had these bentos a few times now, and it appears to be quite nutritious. I've noticed recently that the quality of my sleep has improved."
"Yes, I also agree that it helps. I feel that my skin has been starting to get better…”"I don't feel sleepy when I stay up late. Goddess Susan's bento is really effective!"
With everyone's comforting words to her, the colour of Susan's face gradually returned.
Zion also chuckled as if a great burden had been lifted from him.
Fuming with anger, Quincy protested. "Do all of you have a brain? You can take sleeping pills to sleep well or drink coffee to help you stay up late! Don't all of you have basic common sense as medical practitioners? All of you have been swayed by a child's remark.
How could you treat patients with such a simple-minded brain?!"
Although her statements were certainly harsh, they were also somewhat reasonable. No one dared to criticise her since she was a distinguished doctor at Oakleaf Hospital.
"Why are you targeting me like this, Quincy? What did I do to you to be treated in this way?" Susan was speechless for a long time and finally voiced her first sentence.
For some years, she had been wondering about this. She thought to herself, "I've done everything I should do as a sister, but I've continued to face unjustifiable hostility from her and harassment by her.
In the past, I didn't need to take it seriously, but now I'm trying to raise my family. If I let Quincy's insensitive comments today affect us, how can I live in peace with my son?"
"Oh, I'm targeting you? Susan , you think too highly of yourself!" Quincy sneered.
She would not admit that she had been jealous of Susan for many years!
"Then right now, why are you..."
Before Susan could finish her words, she was cut off by Quincy. "I'm only upholding justice! You let your son speak so much nonsense.
After all, you are still avoiding the fact that you have no permit in doing this business! Do you realise the importance of a doctor's life? You bring these bentos without a permit and sell them in a hospital. If you poison these doctors and nurses to death, you can't pay for it even if both of you sell your organs!"
"You evil woman, I've told you that my mommy has a medical licence!" Again, Zion was enraged.
"Shut up, kid! It's not your turn to interrupt the adults!" Quincy continued to point at Susan's nose and scolded
"Your vicious action today is unacceptable. I won't let you get away with this. I will contact the cops right away and have you two arrested!"
Taking out her phone, Quincy dialled 065, "Hello, police, I'm at the Oakleaf Hospital. I want..."
At once, Susan grabbed her hand and stopped her from spurting anything else. "Quincy! What the hell do you want?"
After so many years, she didn't expect that Quincy still wanted to victimise her without a reason.
"What do I want? It's very simple..." Quincy hung up the phone. She smiled calmly, but there was a hint of mockery behind it.
After a slight pause, she lifted her foot and kicked the rest of Susan's bentos to the ground. The bentos and everything inside them were all instantly scattered on the hospital's clean white floor.
The crowd dispersed in fright, leaving only Susan and Zion standing in shock. They stared blankly at the dishes that she had spent the whole night preparing.
Crossing her arms in front of her chest, Quincy raised her chin and arrogantly said
"Didn't you swear that your food is clean? Then eat one. I won't contact the cops as long as you lick everything on the ground."
Angrily, Zion said, "You've gone too far! My mommy won't eat anything. Call the cops if you want. My mommy is innocent anyway.
Even if we had to go to the police station, we wouldn't be afraid!"
"Your son is really bold, Sister. He doesn't seem to want you to go to the police station.
Of course, I have no objection. But at such a young age, this child will stay in the police station for a few nights due to his mother not having a permit for her business.
What would people think of him if the story spread?" Quincy smirked and turned to face Susan.
Susan's expression grew livid. Her grip on Zion tightened while her gaze was fixed on the dishes that were scattered across the floor.
Eventually, she turned around and told him, "Zion, turn around and don't look back at Mommy.”
"Mommy! No!" He knew what his mother intended to do. Thus, the tears he had been holding back finally flowed.
"Be a good boy and listen to mommy." Susan coaxed him and turned him around.
Zion's body trembled in tears, but her hands held his shoulders tightly and prevented him from turning around. He gritted his teeth and sobbed.
Gradually, she let go of her hands from his shoulders, knelt down slowly, and leaned toward the ground.
Immediately, Quincy took out her phone, aimed the camera at Susan's face, and said,
"Eat quickly, I want to capture this moment..."
Before she could finish her sentence, a large hand grabbed her wrist, preventing her from moving.
"Who dares to stop me? Do you want to lose your job? Believe it or not, I will tell the director to fire you!" With her joyful moment interrupted, she went ballistic.
She turned around to curse whoever it was who ruined her fun, but she found herself unable to do so.
Because standing in front of her was…
