Before the Storm

They remember the last day of spring. It was 30 years ago. Everyone in the town of Muskegon was ready for the snow to disappear and the sun to shine. Until March 19, 1989, changed everything. The day before spring would arrive. Everyone was snowed in by a raging blizzard. No one expected this to happen. The next day, spring never arrived. The day after that wasn't different. The month after that wasn't different either. Everyone soon got used to the weather and knew they would be stuck in winter forever. Until July 3, 2019. Luna Shade knew this wouldn't last. She believed winter would end someday and spring would come. And she would never give up on making that come true.
