MARKED BY THE ENEMY

Ashley is your typical average girl she didn't have many friends just her childhood friends William and Lia. Just an average girl with an ordinary life or so she thought.

The story takes place in her school called Royale High a place for only the best of elites.

She gets a reality check when the school Tsundere Devin suddenly takes a liking to her even though he always saw himself above others what was it that suddenly sparked his interest in this ordinary girl? Just like that Ashley's world took a wild turn when this modern-day prince decided to make her suffer.

At first, she hated him and tried to avoid him at all costs but fate has its way in life she seemed to find him everywhere she went. Has he always been this close or has she just never noticed it well one thing was for sure she had gotten more than she bargained for.

One day she fell asleep in the school's library and discovered it was already really late. On her way home she was almost assaulted by some local thugs but unexpectedly the last person she would want to see saves her. He left her without saying a word which left her wondering what was going on was it staged she thought to herself, no no-one could do something so messed up. When she got home the events kept replaying in her head. Then she finally made up her mind to thank him in school the next day she just wanted to get it over with not to seem ungrateful after all he saved her.

Although she didn't tell William or Lin what happened she didn't want it to seem like a big deal or get them worried. The next day in school she noticed Devin wasn't in class at recess she found him in the hallway with Kika the school's mean girl, Ashley had always stayed out of her sight the girl had a reputation for trouble and would always get out of it by getting others to take the fall or having her dad pay it off. As Ashley walked up to him with the little courage she had summoned..Hi she said stuttering he turned then totally ignored her What was that she thought and walked off immediately feeling an overwhelming shame

Kika scoffed as she left...that brat she thought to herself how dare she. She would get it later

Later that week in gym class Ashley had no idea what misfortune was planned for her. The teacher split the class into teams of girls and boys. Devin was chosen as the boys' captain, and Kika was chosen as the girls' captain as she picked her minions for the teams. Lia and Ashley stood by wondering what awaited them

She then decided Ashley should be in the front line when the game started, Lia seeing this as unjust tried talking to Kika but she was so determined that she told Lia that if she had a problem she should talk to the coach. Ashley called Lia down and reassured her that she would be fine.

But little did she know that it was part of Kika's plan to teach her a lesson. As the game started dodgeballs were being thrown and hurled everywhere Ashley being in the front line tried her best to avoid getting hit suddenly the balls were getting too much as she dodged one from her side she turned back and one of Kika's minions oops I missed the others laughed before Ashley could react she gets smacked in the face by a dodgeball . She passes out cold

William races over from the other side before he could reach her a tall figure carries her in his arms Devin to everyone's surprise William stared shocked at what was happening. Let's get her to the nurse's office he turned to Lia she nods and follows him behind.

When she finally wakes up she meets a distressed-looking Lia who kept blaming herself for what happened..Ashley then reassures her that it's fine. William comes in with a lunch tray and asks her how she feels, how long was i out she slumps back on the bed...hmm about two hours he drops the tray beside her, and the day passes. After that incident she found Devin everywhere and she didn't hate it either.

A week later, right after the school's mandatory test Devin finds himself with low grades again at this rate he was going to flunk the upcoming exams.The teacher assigns Ashley as his tutor. it wasn't so bad how hard was it going to be she thought and chuckled nervously.

She invited him over to her place to study. Surprisingly he greeted her mom and even offered to help in the kitchen while they both talked. Ashley was so stunned she had never seen him so warm to anyone. Alright Mom that's enough for now we have to study we'll be back soon she turns to the stairs and he follows behind her. Her room had a warm and cosy feeling it suited her so perfectly he did a little grin he scans the place closely. make yourself at home he plopped on her bed it had an intriguing smell it was her scent . She clears out her reading table and got him another seat he walks so quietly that she didn't notice his tall frame behind her she got startled. He takes his seat besides her she was so confused why he was so calm unlike his unusual ways in school she takes out the books he reaches for her then he spoke.
