"Noooo!" They suddenly hear Jake roar from inside and Aden fears the force. Mason needs to focus on the antidote and does not rush inside like Aden. A silence falls on the land and the roar could be heard on every inch of it. Wolves start to howl and each beast gives their sad song into the wind. Lora is the first of her kind to shred a tear and give her song of sadness as she closes her eyes and tilts her head to the sky. They all feel the paint if they pack that is protecting them all.
The silence has gone on for hours. The pack does not feel her completely gone, her energy and presence are still here somehow but her body tells them otherwise. She does not have a heartbeat anymore and she is not breathing either. Jake is sitting by her, holding her lifeless hand as he cries by her side.
