After traveling for days they arrive at a small abandoned village. There are no killings since the smell of blood is not hanging in the air. There is also no sign that the village is a ruin since the embers of the fire are still smoldering. Kay lets Ezo slide off her and the riders all start looking around slowly. The mounts all turn human again and Zeek appears too. "It seems they have left in a hurry," Nora peeked inside a small house and she saw it in a mess. "Did they see us coming?" Jake comes out of another house. That is a possibility. "We are not the White Pack, so why run?" Anon frowns at this. "Well, they don't know what pack we are, and with me as an Alpha being white may have made them run," Kay gives her opinion on the matter.
That does make better sense than just abandoning
