Chapter 11

1250 Words
Delilah sat in her bedroom most of the day, and wasn't surprised when Lilly brought her trays of food for lunch and dinner. She didn't think Alpha would let her out of her room anymore, knowing their guests spoke fae. He was worried she would tell them she was being held hostage, she assumed, and she was pretty sure they knew that anyway. She had seen the surprise look on her brother's face when he saw the bars on her window. He must have told her father because she saw anger on his face when he glanced up at her window. They were walking around the pack. She couldn't help but keep sitting at the window looking for any signs of her family. They passed by her window shortly after dinner, and she was surprised to see Alpha leading them inside the pack. She wondered how they were going to help her escape, and she thought about what she would do if she was free. Where would she go? She could go back home, but felt a slight pain at her chest at the thought of her soul mate. Could she leave without finding him, and explaining what happened? Would he reject her after he found out all she had gone through? She slipped off the window sill, walking into the bathroom to look at herself in the mirror. She looked at her appearance, and noticed she was a lot thinner than she used to be, and she wasn't as beautiful with the lack of magic. She couldn't help but frown as she sighed. Who would want her now that she was damaged? Perhaps it would be better if she just returned home, and never found her soul mate. She could return to her realm, and see if Dairan would still accept her, but now with her not being able to have children. Who would want a damaged and broken soul mate? Delilah walked back into her room, and curled up in her bed staring at the room until she slowly drifted off to sleep. She felt someone shaking her, calling her name, what felt like a few hours later. Her eyes opened in panic as she sat up looking at her brother. "Mikah?" He chuckled gently. "Come on, you're going to need boots and warm clothes." She quickly panicked. "Tell me you didn't shut the door." She looked over to it as he pointed to it to see it was propped open with a chair. "It's a pretty heavy door. Did he think you were going to break it?" She slipped out of her bed, going to her dresser, throwing on her heaviest and warmest sweater. "Do you not have pants?" She couldn't help but shake her head. "No, he doesn't allow them." She grabbed another sweater, placing it over the first one, and quickly slipped on her flat shoes. "Did he ever let you outside?" She shook her head. "Not until today." Mikah let out a soft growl before shaking his head. "Doesn't matter, Dad has them distracted drinking in his office. He'll told me they're basically passed out in there. So we have time to sneak you out. We can't go with you or it will be suspicious, but I'll help you past the border come on." She followed him out into the hall, and followed him downstairs slowly. She noticed it was well into the night, and all the omegas were most likely in bed. They made it down the stairs, and were walking down the hall when he suddenly pressed her against the wall, covering her face with her shoulder. "Sir, you have a room for such things." She kept her face in his chest as her brother chuckled. "My apologies." She waited to hear the footsteps disappear, and he pulled away, looking down the hall before pulling her down the hall toward a set of doors. Delilah couldn't help but feel scared, but excited as they stepped out of the packhouse into the backyard, looking around, realizing her window to her prison was just above her. She grabbed her brother, pulling him away from the door into the dark corner of the packhouse as a wolf suddenly ran past them. She waited until it rounded the corner, whispering to him. "We have five minutes to get to the trees before he comes around again." She watched him start to tug off his shirt, and she quickly turned away from him. She waited until she felt a cold nose press against her hand. She turned around to see a black, red and orange wolf sitting in front of her. It was much bigger than all the wolves she saw running around, and she was amazed by the colors. She heard a howl in the distance, and she quickly climbed onto her brother Lycan's back. She gripped onto his fur as he took off for the trees, and ducked as low as she could as he raced to the forest. She watched him slow down, and was listening as he made his way through the forest. He stopped when he heard growling and snarling until he saw a wolf chasing another into the distance. He quickly raced in the opposite direction, and when he suddenly stopped, kneeling down as she slipped off his back. She watched him shift, and he quickly gave her a tight hug. "Go now. If you head straight, you'll hit the Red River pack it's Alpha will take you in. His name is Alpha Rubeus, and he will help you get back home. You are going to need to hide your scent with something. I know there is a lot of snow, but if you find mind or a river, use them." Delilah couldn't help but frown. "What about you, and Dad?" He shook his head gently. "We'll be fine, even if he figures it out Dad will take care of it. He's just sorry it took so long to find you. He couldn't feel you in the bond, and Mom told him she was worried you'd have a scent like a wolf, so she suppressed your Lycan side completely." She looked in the direction she was supposed to go, and then back at him. "How will you find me? What if I get lost?" She looked back at her Mikah with fear. "Trust me, if you end up in another pack, just tell them you were abducted. There are a few like this pack, but this is the only one nearby. You should hit the Red River pack in about a day on foot, depending on how fast you run. If you see any wolves with red eyes, they're rogues. Avoid them, either run or hide. Now go." She hugged Mikah once more, before releasing him as tears filled her eyes. He handed her a bag. "Go now, Delilah. There is food and water in there." She took the bag, placed it on her back, and started to walk straight, stopping to look back at him. "Go on we'll come get you once we leave here. Even if you get lost, we'll find you." She nodded. "Thank you." She hesitated before taking off into a run further into the forest straight ahead. She couldn't help but look back to see her brother shifted, and he was heading back in the direction of the packhouse. She looked back ahead of her, taking a deep breath of fresh air. She was finally free.
