Delilah woke with a start at the sound of her bedroom door opening. She looked toward the window to see it was still dark outside, and was surprised to see Alpha walking to her dresser. He started rooting through her clothes, muttering to himself. "Alpha?"
She raised an eyebrow when he didn't answer her, and instead walked out of her room, slamming the door shut. She slipped out of bed walking over to the door. It had no door handle except on the other side, and she couldn't help leaning against the door to listen.
She quickly stepped back from the door as she heard his loud footsteps approaching to open the door, and he threw a dress at her. It was a long-sleeved emerald green floor-length dress. "Put that on, understand? You will wear that. You will not speak a word unless spoken too."
Delilah looked at the dress, before nodding. "Wear this." He looked at her with a raised eyebrow, and she tilted her head wondering why he was staring at her. "PUT IT ON!"
She jumped at his yelling, and quickly removed her nightgown, and unzipped the back of the dress. She put it on trying to reach the back but could only get the zipper half up. "Come here, I'll do it."
She quickly gathered her hair, holding it up, because last time he helped with a zipper he had gotten her hair caught in it. She walked over to him, turning around, as he did the back of the dress up. "Don't forget shoes."
She watched him walk out of the room, leaving the door open, and she quickly slipped her shoes on. She stepped out of her room into his making her way out into the hall. He held a coat out for her to slip on, and she was confused. Was she actually going outside?
Alpha held his arm out to her, and she took it curiously, as he walked her downstairs, and out front of what he called the packhouse. She couldn't help but close her eyes, and enjoy feeling the sun on her face. She heard him growl softly, and she opened her eyes as an object approached, and couldn't help tilting her head.
It looked like a very long carriage on weird wheels that was moving itself, and she seemed surprised. She was surprised when one of the doors in the back opened, and a tall blonde man, with brown eyes stepped out. She couldn't help but study the man as he looked at her curiously.
She watched another step out beside him, and she was a little surprised to see the younger man looking like her younger sister, Talilah, except he had brown hair instead of red, and he had dark brown eyes. She heard Alpha clear his throat. "Alpha Cory, it's good to see you again. We don't use names in this pack. You may refer to me as Alpha, and this is Luna. You know my Beta, and Gamma."
She watched the younger man look confused, looking at Alpha, before his eyes returned to hers, and he smiled at her. "Of course, Alpha, thank you to both you, and your Luna, for welcoming us into your pack at such short notice. My son happened to be wandering your borders the last full moon, and he thought his mate might be from this pack."
She watched them both approach them on the top step, and Alpha took hold of Alpha Cory's hand, shaking it, before looking at the younger boy. "My son Mikah." She watched Mikah take Alpha's hand, shaking it, before holding it out to her. "Luna."
Delilah looked at the hand offered to her, before looking up at Alpha confused. "Don't be rude Luna, and shake his hand. I apologize, my mate does not speak much English, and doesn't understand most things."
She took the hand, shaking it softly, before doing the same to Alpha Cory. "Come, we were just going to have breakfast. You should join us. I am sure your journey was good?"
She followed Alpha inside the packhouse, as an omega came to take their coats, before he led her to the dining hall. She was surprised when Alpha sat her in the chair beside him at the head of a long table. She watched Beta, and Gamma sat at Alpha's side while Mikah sat down on the chair beside her, and Alpha Cory chuckled sitting beside his son.
Mikah was smiling at her, and she couldn't help but smile back. He looked so much like her younger sister. "Do you like it here, Luna?"
She looked at Alpha to see him raise an eyebrow at her before nodding. She looked back at Mikah with a soft smile. "Like it here." She watched him look confused at her. "So you really can't speak our language."
Delilah gently shook her head as she spoke in fae. "Not very well, I apologize, I am a fire faerie." She was surprised when his eyes suddenly brightened, and her eyes widened as he spoke fae. "I know who you are. You look just like Mom."
She blinked rapidly, looking at Mikah in confusion as she continued speaking in fae. "You speak fae? How do you know my mother?" He nodded at her. "She's my mom too, and she taught me to speak fae. She hadn't heard from you in years, and sent us to find you."
She winced as Alpha growled slightly. "What are they saying?" She could hear the slight annoyance in his tone, and she frowned. "Sorry." She watched Alpha Cory chuckle softly. "Oh, no worries Alpha. Your Luna was mentioning how much she doesn't like the snow, and wishes summer would come faster."
She looked at Alpha with a slight frown. "Not like snow... like hot." He looked at her with a slight smirk before leaning over to kiss her forehead. "Don't worry, you can sit by the fireplace in our room tonight." She smiled up at him gently as he pulled away.
It was one of the few rewards she would get if she behaved, and nodded her head. "Fire." She watched as a few omegas starting coming in from the kitchen, and were putting plates in front of her.
She furrowed her brows when they put a plate with steak, eggs, bacon, and hashbrows in front of her. She looked at Alpha with a soft frown, and gently placed her hand on his arm. "No like."
Alpha looked at her plate with a slight roll of his eyes, as he looked at one of the omegas. "Just eat it." She nodded her head, and looked back at her plate, picking up her fork, and was just pushing the food around her plate.
She watched Cory look at her with curiosity as he was cutting into his steak eating it. "Does she not like the food?" She gently shook her head. "Fruit."
Alpha sighed gently. "No, she's a faerie, and seems to only like fruit, nuts, and peanut butter." She didn't mind peanut butter, it was actually pretty filling. She was just sick of it after eating nothing but those sandwiches for years.
She felt a hand on her arm, and looked at Mikah curiously. "Are you going to eat your bacon?" She lifted her plate, handing it to him. "No."
She couldn't help but smile as he picked the bacon and steak from her plate, putting it on his own. She could feel annoyance rolling off Alpha in the bond.
