Raz woke the next day to the most amazing smell under his nose. He couldn't help but let out a purr as he breathed in deeply, pushing his face closer to the source. He felt hair tickle his nose, and his eyes opened with curiosity.
He was lying on his side, and Delilah was completely curled up against him, her face buried in his chest, and an arm draped around his side. He looked at his bed to see he was still lying on his side of the bed so she curled up against him.
He couldn't help but smile, and think how adorable she looked. She had fallen asleep on the couch while talking to him last night about all the stuff she liked to do, and telling him stories about the realm.
He placed a blanket over her when she had fallen asleep, but she must have woken up scared again, and crawled into his bed. He didn't mind she could spend the rest of her time there in his bed. He would never kick her out or complain.
Raz couldn't help carefully brush some of her hair out of her face. He loved her wild curly red hair, and he loved how soft it felt on his fingers. If she wasn't his mate, he would gladly reject anyone for her.
He would happily take her as a chosen mate, and would never regret his choice. He brushed her hair away from her neck looking at the bite mark, wanting nothing then to sink his own fangs into her.
He couldn't help but run his fingertip over the mark, and when she suddenly shiverred under his touch, he could smell her growing arousal even in her sleep. Even with another man's mark she reacted to his touch.
Raz wondered if that was a sign that she was really his. Perhaps he could ask Lock to touch it, and see if she reacted the same way? He felt her start to stir, and her bright red eyes slowly opened, tilting her head back, so her chin rested on his chest, staring up at him.
He couldn't help but smile down at her, giving her his best husky seductive voice. "Good morning beautiful." He felt her shiver again, and was surprised when she leaned up placing a soft kiss on his lips.
Her eyes suddenly widened as she must have realized she wasn't asleep, and she was suddenly blushing. "I am so sorry! I didn't mean I mean.. I thought... I didn't know-" He cut her off by brushing his lips against hers in a very soft slow kiss.
He felt her soft hands run up his chest, wrapping them around his neck, her fingers suddenly in his hair as she returned his kiss. This was by far the best kiss he's ever had, and he kept it slow and soft.
After a few minutes, he pulled back for air, and she was softly panting as her eyes opened, looking up at him. She was blushing as he looked down at her. "That was amazing. I don't want to know where you learned to kiss like that."
He chuckled, shaking his head. "I'd love to say I've had plenty of practice, but I've only kissed one other. I didn't much care for it, so you are the second woman I've kissed."
Raz moved a hand to run it across her cheek gently. "So you didn't like kissing me?" He smirked at her. "No I very much liked it, and will happily do so again. I'd happily spend the day in this bed just kissing you, but I don't want to push you into something you don't want to do."
He took a piece of her red hair, curling it around his finger. "I want you to know I like you Delilah. I am willing to wait as long as it takes to get you to fall for me. I will not push you into anything. I'll happily wait until you are ready. I want you to be completely in charge. When you are ready, I'll happily worship every part of you."
He released her hair, grabbed one of her hands from around his neck, and gently kissed the back of it, making her blush even more. "I'll let you think about it, and get dressed while I make you something to eat. You don't have to decide now, just think about it. I won't push you. This changes nothing for me either way. I'll protect you no matter what."
She smiled up at him, gently nodding her head, and he pulled away, slipping out of bed. "You are welcome to sleep in my bed anytime, Delilah. If this is where you feel safest, I will never say no."
Raz walked over to the door, stopping as he looked at her, now worried he was too forward, and possibly scaring her off. "Sorry if that was too much. I don't want to scare you off, I just want you to know I like you."
She shook her head, smiling at him with tears in her eyes. "It's nice to feel wanted. I didn't think anyone would ever want me because of what happened to me. I do like you too. I just didn't think you would want me." She placed a hand on her neck over the mark on her neck.
"It is just that we might not be soulmates, and I wouldn't want to keep you from your soulmate. It wouldn't be fair to her if I took you to be mine. Especially because Alpha has already marked me. You have just given me a lot to think about."
He nodded. "Take your time, but if you aren't my mate, I don't want another mate who isn't you. You will not be keeping me from my mate. In my eyes, your perfect mate for me, Delilah."
Raz stepped out of the room, heading to the kitchen, opening the fridge and trying to decide what to cook. He pulled out a pack of bacon, and some eggs.
He finished the bacon, deciding to scramble up the eggs as Psych came through the door, and dropped into a chair. "What's for breakfast?"
He rolled his eyes as he scrambled the eggs, before putting the bread in the toaster. "Scramble eggs, bacon, and toast. Coffee?" He pulled down a coffee mug for himself. "Please bro thanks." He pulled down another from the cabinet and filled it with coffee before setting it down in front of Psych.
He buttered the toast, pulling it onto plates, and filling each plate with eggs, setting them on the table, grabbing his mug before sitting down. "How was the training?"
Psych shrugged. "I am getting better with the Kitsunes, and I told them I would be training with Kai. They seemed to be impressed, and wished me luck. I'm going to need all I can get."
He chucked, sipping his coffee. "Well, he is a former assassin if the rumors are true anyway. If you were going to be my daughter's mate, I'd want to make sure you were trained as well."
His brother raised an eyebrow. "Think he is training Jj?" He shrugged. "You'll have to ask him." He looked toward his bedroom door, seeing Delilah hesitating to come in. "Delilah come eat. I made breakfast."
