That was strange, I think to myself as I am dismissed by the King. The whole thing was strange, Maddox having those photos, my dream seemingly not being just a dream, the way the King and the Betas hung on to my every word. I wonder if Maddox would tell me what’s really going on if I ask him. My mind is preoccupied the entire rest of the time I’m cleaning which means it takes me much longer than it should. I’m just glad my Alpha, Luna, and Gina left not long after Maddox told them off. It’s not that they’ve never seen me cleaning, obviously I had to do that at my old pack. But I was supposed to be here as a guest and a cook, and this was a far cry from that.
