Dear Tarkyn,
I thank you for your efforts on my behalf. I was shocked to hear that soldiers under my ultimate command had so badly abused their position of trust. If you deliver the ringleaders to my encampment, I will ensure that a public example is made of them.
In return, you will be pleased to know that I have rescued two young women whom I believe were victims of the Forest of Yesterday Today and Tomorrow and who have been finding life difficult in Tormadell. So, as a gesture of good faith, I have taken them into my keeping.
I do not expect any recompense for this but merely hope that it will herald the beginning of a new era of cooperation between us.
