61 It was almost dawn before the woodfolk with Danton felt that they were far enough away from the encampment to be safe. They had hoisted the injured sorcerer up onto the horse, glad that he was not conscious to feel the jolting on his broken wrist. Throughout the journey, Danton had not so much as stirred. While most sorted out shelters, two were posted as lookouts and Autumn Leaves and Running Feet led the horse off, to tether it well away from their chosen firesite before backtracking to make sure its tracks had been obscured.
