Autumn Leaves and Thunder Storm were in the shelter with Danton when he first showed signs of coming round.
Autumn Leaves grasped his hand and leant over him as his eyelids fluttered. “Hello Danton. It’s all right. We’re here. You’re safe,” he murmured.
A slight crease appeared between Danton’s eyebrows. He didn’t open his eyes but Autumn Leaves saw his whole body gradually tense up.
Autumn Leaves glanced at Thunder Storm before continuing his litany, “Don’t worry. You are safe. No one is going to attack you. Andoran and Sargon are far from here. Your wrist is broken. That is the pressure you can feel on your left arm. Just relax. As soon as you are ready, we will give you something to eat and drink.”
