Color
When Red hits the screen
We assume it's something bad
It represents negativity
And resembles being mad
And when Orange makes its presence
No one bats an eye
It's often a last choice
It almost makes you want to cry
Yellow is too bright
And too much for some folks
It's too hard to see
It's overlooked and choked
And when one mentions Green
We imagine something vile
A color longing to be better
And leaving in denial
But Blue is loved a lot
Possibly the most
We think of diamonds and gems
And the sea at the coast
Though, Purple's a mystery
And is waiting to be found
Especially since
It is often left out
Pink is too sweet
Makes people feel sick
Is only a volunteer
And is never the first pick
Grey is too sad
Too gloomy and a bummer
Is never enjoyed
In the Spring or Summer
And Brown is forgotten
And relies on the others
And doesn't seem to get along with
All the other colors
And Black is the absence
The long, dark night
Can never mean good
And disappears in the light
It's shunned and lost
And speaking of light,
Did I tell you about our good friend
White?
For White is everything
Good and Bad
From Red to Black
It's all you've ever had
People love White
In all of its glory
It's the lamp that helps you see
And the pages of a story
And because White is everything
Including the colors aforementioned,
Let me tell you something
That is sure to break the tension
The colors that were said
Explained things too tough
But White is made of all those colors
Yet still receives some love
All of us are everything
And are loved by others
We also make up everything
And that's the beauty of colors
