Chapter 7
“Colt, is everything okay?” Dean’s worried voice rang though the phone.
“Yeah, sorry, man. I should have called earlier. I found the boys. Long story short, they separated after an argument, and Kip got injured. He sent a flare for help. Mikey went back for him. Kip is in bad shape. Mikey took Kip with him, but because Kip was losing so much blood, Mikey decided to stop at the old cabin. He tried to get reception on his phone to call for help and sent off the flare this morning.
There’s a lot of blood loss. Mikey and Kip are both dehydrated, even though Mikey melted some snow to drink. They haven’t had any real food or electrolytes. I have Kip on transport behind my sled.
