You’re going to be good. It’s okay to feel a bit nervous. Everybody gets nervous when they start something new. And you don’t have to tell anyone anything you don’t want to tell them. It’s none of their business. Lie if you have to. You can’t study to be an electrician by yourself anyhow. Don’t you have to be registered to get work? I don’t know, but I don’t reckon you can read a few books, call yourself a sparky, then go and work in people’s homes. I’d look into that. My advice is, do the course. It’ll be great. And you’ll get a couple of days a week out of this shithole.
