I didn’t know what to do any longer. I thought my heart would stop beating because of how heavy it felt. The image of Cassandra and Aiden in bed together couldn’t just get off my mind. Whenever I closed my eyes, I saw the half naked Cassandra and the guilt on Aiden’s face when I caught them. It hurt so bad as if someone had torn my chest open. All along, had he been toying with my feelings? Or was I just a fool to believe he truly loved me?
