Without realising it, Elle and Dean fell into a routine with one another. Every morning he would pick up her and Trent from their temporary apartment, driving him to school first and watching Elle walk him in, before driving the both of them to work. She still spent the vast majority of her lunches with Harriette, who she came to see as a close friend, but Dean would always find a reason to check in with her at somepoint.
Harriette was openly suspicious, still sure that she wasn't hearing the entire story, but Elle shook it off and put it down to Dean simply wanting to assure she was being thorough with her work. Her new friend wasn't buying it.
