CHAPTER TWO

Samira.

I woke up feeling sore all over as my injuries are now healing at a very slow pace because I get bruised or beaten up to pulp almost everyday am 17 now just one more year to my 18th birthday and so the hate also grew. My parents are always busy with pack matters and rogue activities so they are not always around. This gave my bullies the perfect opportunity to hurt me more. Today am late to school as usual and i know what's in store for me and that is my bullies having a good opportunity to beat me up. As soon as I got into the school compound I saw Josh " the school's greatest bully and flirt" why won't he be a flirt when all the girls in senior and junior classes are all over him ready to pull off their pants at his command. I really don't know what those girls find attractive about Josh, maybe it was due to the fact that he was popular and the president of the football club. Josh was the worse apart from my brother Mark when it comes to bullying. The moment he saw me he called out "hey you unlucky Sam stop right there!", I know what this means, he's going to hurt me again but I have to run as fast I could,and so I did. Unfortunately for me he was too fast and he caught up to me within seconds. He yanked my hair from behind and smashed my head to the nearest wall i felt dizzy, my legs gave up and I fell to the ground. Josh just wasn't done yet he lifted me up and started strangling the life out of me leaving me breathless. "listen you ill fated maggot! he said,the next time I call you and you ignore me or try to runaway again I will kill you and guess what, nobody will say a word because every single person in crescent moon pack hate your guts even your brother hate you to death so I will be doing them a great favour by getting rid of a thorn in their flesh. Your Mom and Dad won't save you because you would be dead before they arrive so try ignoring me again". I felt my world shattered not because I was abused but because he was right nobody likes me apart from my parents and my parents can't sit back and watch over me 24/7 because they have a great responsibility to the pack as their Alpha and Luna. Josh was smirking seeing the fact that he could beat me up and no one complained. The students gathered around him and giving him all sorts of compliments and thumbs up. Jacob came into view,he was the oldest among the bully gangs and also the beta's son but he was a bit different because he does not bully girls so when he saw me lying on the floor all bloodied with my face bloodied from a cut on my brow I thought I saw his expression change to that of pity,he stared at me for a while and then he approached me and stretched out his hand to me. I was confused and scared because Jacob never spoke to me before, though he was among the bullies but he never bullied me so I don't know if I should trust him enough to give him my hand. I got startled when he spoke, he said "Samira give me your hand", I reluctantly gave him my hand and he pulled me up, I could see the scorn and hatred filled eyes staring at me as I was pulled up by Jacob. Some of the girls started murmuring telling Jacob to get away from me because I was bad luck and I would rub my bad luck on him,I looked at Jacob but his face was expressionless and he payed them no mind, When Josh saw Jacob helping me up he got more angry and he said " Jacob what do you think you are doing?, don't tell me you have a thing for this b***h!" Jacob said "that's enough Josh bullying a weak girl doesn't make you stronger" and so he pulled me with him. I don't know if I should feel relieved because it was the first time someone helped me after being bullied. He led me down the girl's restroom and i thanked him for helping me up even when he was criticised for doing so but I wasn't looking at him directly for my face was all red with embarrassment for I feel so dirty and ugly perhaps, not that I cared about my looks before but I still felt ugly and dirty. He lifted my chin with his fingers so I was staring at him. He said, " Josh has no right to beat you up and why the hell don't you fight back,I mean you are a werewolf and the daughter of the strongest Alpha and if the prophecy is true you are a female Alpha with powers right?". I was speechless I don't know what to say to Jacob as he kept looking at me demanding for answers." Answer me Sam why do you let them bully you,why don't you fight back"?, at this point I know I had to answer him and so I said "I don't fight back because it wouldn't change anything it would rather make them hate me the more so why give them a good reason to finish me off" I said. Looking at Jacob right now he looked at me as though I grew two heads suddenly. Now I know I shouldn't have said what I said, what if I offended him by my words. When I heard no response from him I looked up only to see his smirking face looking at me differently. He never spoke a word to me as he walked down where we came from without turning back.
