Chapter 10

After freshening up I told Lenora I’d bring her breakfast to the bedroom but she insisted that she wants to go down to have breakfast.

Reaching the dining room it’s only my mom, Agatha and her daughter at the table.

“ good morning my babies” my mother beams getting up to squish Lenora and I in a hug.

“ good morning Luna”

“ good morning mom”

We both said in unison.

“ Nora you can drop the formalities”

I noticed Lenora tense a bit and her eyes got watery. I placed my hand at her lower back and lead her to sit down.

“Good morning Aggie, good morning Macy” I said with a light smile noticing how Macy is watch Lenora.

“Good morning Wyatt” they replied together.

We began eating our breakfast then I thought, does mom know Liam came here last night.

“ where’s Liam” I asked no one in particular just in case one of them except Lenora knew. I got my confirmation when Macy’s eyes bulged and she choked on the eggs. She hurriedly drank some juice.

“ are you okay dare?.” My mom asked and she nodded.

“ yes luna, I’m fine. I’ll be taking my leave now luna.” She got up to leave when the devil himself Walk’s in from the side door in the kitchen that leads to Agatha’s house. He doesn’t even notice where all here in the other room.

Macy walked pass him and out the door.

I walked in the kitchen standing behind him when he turns around he visibly flinch.

“ what’s it with you, dude. Get out of my way” he frown brushing pass me.

Before he could pass I grabbed onto his hand.“ why” I asked in a low menacing voice.

“ dude let go, I don’t know what you’re talking about.” His heart rate picked up as he broke out into a cold sweat.

“ really?, you don’t know. I’ll refresh your memory” i Grabbed his collar and give him one hard slap “ do you remember now, or are you still clueless”he looks shocked that I would even hit him. I give him a backhand slap and another one.

“ answer me” I shook him. Still, he doesn’t answer. I can feel Rex wanting to come to the surface due to not getting a response, he’s impatient. I want Liam to admit it for himself but I can’t wait any longer I give him two more hard slap.

“Wyatt, what is this. Please Let him go, we can talk about it.” I heard my mother’s voice.

“ talk?, he doesn’t want to talk” I scoffed

“ mom, she sedu..” before he even finished what he was going to say I slapped him.

“ WYATT. YOU STOP THIS, RIGHT NOW. LET HIM GO.” my mother shouted. She sounds angry, good.

“ think carefully before you speak,Liam. I have proof.”I growled, shoving him back harshly that he fell to the ground. Mom went to help him up and I went to Lenora snaking my arm around her waist. I looked down and she’s crying.

“ what is the commotion about” my father asked as he walks in the kitchen.

“ dad, Wyatt slapped me because of that girl.” Great. Way to give yourself away liam.

“ Wyatt, is that true?”

“I slapped him yes. Multiple times, but not once did I say why I did what it I did. He told on himself. Mom’s been here the whole time, ask her if you don’t believe.” Liam’s face looks nothing less than one of horror. Mom now realizing, looks at him confused.

“ what did you do to her liam.”

She spoke softly.

“ Liam, speak” dad commands him, he’s never done that before.

“I, I don’t know what happened I went to his room and tried to have her to hurt Wyatt because he always has everything. He had both your attention you sometimes would take him to meetings with you you never did that with me” he starts crying his crocodile tears as if that justified what he did or tried to do.

“That does not justify your actions. You’ve never showed interest in doing anything pertaining to do with leading the pack. I tried with you Liam, you hardly showed up for any training sessions until you stopped and when I asked you to go on missions with my gamma you refused and said I should let Wyatt go and he did. Not only that but you’re always out at some club getting drunk having different girlfriends every other week. Do you think that’s how an alpha behave” dad spoke harshly

“ well, can you blame me for wanting to be a normal teenager.”

“ did you ever stop to think that Wyatt wanted to be a normal teenager too. Because you slacked off I had to push Wyatt way more because in my eyes then, I had only one heir. And, and I’m sorry Wyatt for pushing you so much you’re always obedient and I cannot say how much I’m proud of you.” I nodded.

“ see there you go again praising him in my face, you have two sons”

“Well I am sorry I cannot say the same about you. You can take the donkey to the river but you cannot force it to drink.” He said then turn to Lenora.

“ is this your girlfriend”

“ my mate” I replied giving Liam a sidelong glance.

Looking at my dad again he’s looking confused. He took a long sniff then said.

“But she has no wolf, are you sure.” He asked looking at Lenora and she stiffened looking down at the floor playing with her fingers nervously.

My mom walked over standing beside him.

“ isn’t she pretty, Spencer.” She smiled warmly. I can see Lenora blushing.

My dad said nothing but nodding his head and “ hmm” before he walked off

“Wyatt I need to see you in my office. NOW.” I can feel my stomach drop as I have a feeling why he wants to see me.

“ stay with my mom. Mom, please don’t let him near her.” They both nodded in response. I glared at Liam murderously, silently warning him.

“ go ahead Wyatt, don’t keep your father waiting.” I hugged Lenora tightly not wanting to let go and a kiss on the cheek. “ awwwee” my mom put her hand on her chest fake sobbing with her head leaned to one side.

“Aye where’s mine, Wyatt I’m still your mother” she said when she noticed I’m about to leave.

I grinned “ I thought you didn’t want me to keep dad waiting” I gave her a hug and kiss then left to go meet my dad.

Not eve two seconds after closing the door my dad burst.

“ what the hell is wrong with you you know she has no wolf yet you didn’t reject her” he scolded me.

“ she has a wolf dad and so what if she has no wolf she barely eighteen you know we have a couple late bloomers in the pack.” I murmured

“I can tell you’ve already mated with her.. so, you have two options. Reject her and take a chosen mate or choose someone else to marry and mark her so she stay by your side”

“ father we’ve already been through this, I’ve found my mate and nothing you say is going to change that. She’s my mate, my fated mate why would I reject her, you didn’t reject your mate” I replied calmly. He looks directly at me as if he’s search my soul His face turning into a grim expression.

“Well then, you can kiss being an alpha goodbye.”

Surprisingly it did not hurt me as he thought it would. I laughed

“ okay then. You can kiss you hard work, time and effort goodbye, Give it you your useless son” I can see the panic in his face before he composed himself. I shook my head and walked out. I’ve had enough of him threatening me with that.

I went back to the dining area and no one was there. So I called.

“ Lenora”

“Yes..”

“ come, we’re leaving” I took her hand in mine heading up the stairs.

“ what, why”

“ it’s only so much I can take Lenora, just let’s go I’ll let you know on the way.” I told her and she nodded.

While packing my things Lenora was looking at me the whole time. “ it’s my fault isn’t it”

“ what..no”

“Yes it is, if not for me you and your brother would’ve never fought”

“ Lenora. That’s where you’re wrong. My brother and I never had a good relationship. And as much as I don’t want to tell you this because I know it would only hurt your feelings.. even without my brother in the situation I’d still leave” when she caught on to what I’m trying to say she sat on the bed tears rolling down her face.

“ reject me, Wyatt. I can’t take this from you. You’ve already been through so much for this you can’t just turn away from it now.” She begged

“ I am not worth it. Please.”

“ Lenora” I choked out. I went and kneel in front of her cupping her cheeks.

“ please don’t say that, you’re worth everything and more. Stop belittling yourself. If you say it, you’ll believe it. It will come to life and everyone else who belittle you would win, don’t let them. Not even my father.” I pleaded. Only now that I realized that we’re both crying. I gave her a soft peck on the cheeks then on her lips.

“ now, get up, we have to go. Do you have a bank account?” I asked her “Yes. But I don’t have much-“ “ okay hurry up let’s go I have to transfer the money in my account to your’s before my father freezes it or something.”

We hurriedly packed the rest of our stuff until something came to mind. I called the bank informing them that I’m leaving the country immediately and I wanted to transfer the money to a different account so that I wouldn’t be tracked. which was a lie.

The lady said it would be a long process so I told her I was in great danger and had to leave immediately. After almost seventeen minutes of convincing she told me the only way was to withdraw the money and then put it in a different account or create another account.

After gathering our things I gave my room one last look and closed the door. Before going out the front door my father’s voice sounded out.

“ you will regret this Wyatt”

“ spencer why are you doing this, why can’t you let them be”

“ mom this was my decision”

“ I can’t believe you would throw everything away for this wolfless girl, for all we know she slept with Liam and played victim to you.you can’t keep her for a mate Wyatt she slept with your brother..”

“ ENOUGH!! Spencer. You and I both know liam cannot keep his junk to himself to save his life. Are all the girls he had s*x with to be disposed by their mate. It’s unfair how guys treat women, you want to have any and all women but your own should be pure.” She continued

“ what if women treat you the same?, reject you because you couldn’t keep the little thing in your pants to yourself. I am disgusted with you Liam, for knowing she’s your brother’s mate and still went to do what you did. And you.. I’m disappointed in you for judging her because she has no wolf. What happened to ‘don’t judge a book by it’s cover” she took my hand leading me outside .

“Come Wyatt. Lenora I am so sorry that this happened to you you and I cannot tell you how embarrassed I am.I am so sorry”

“ it’s okay luna, I’m fine” she nods her head tears rolling down her face and it fu***ng hurts.

Mom wanted to know what happened and we gave her a summary of it. Dad and Liam came outside maybe to check on mom.

I suddenly felt the need to say one last thing to my father since he think I’m not fit to lead a pack because I won’t reject my mate who he thinks has no wolf.

I turned to him at the same Time the maid who’s on shift for today came out “Since Lenora is no good because apparently Liam slept with her and she has no wolf, I hope you have him make Macy his Luna. You know, Agatha, your cooks daughter. he took her innocence from her and she’s barely sixteen..”

“ she’s going to be eighteen” he blurted out.

“ you say it as though that makes it any better” my mom scoffed.

“Anyway from what I heard she’s not even allowed to date and was told she had to reject her mate if she met him. I wanted to put the matter the the elders but she pleaded with me not to. She fear she would be forced to marry him and be tied to him forever that’s the only reason I gave in to her pleads, she hopes when he finds his mate he’ll Leave her alone.”

“ that’s not true she seduced me” he shouted, looking panicked.

“ really?. She seduced you?.” I asked

“ yes she was wearing..”

“ SHUT UP. What a female is wearing is no reason for you to act impulsive. So are you saying Lenora seduced you from inside Wyatt’s bedroom.” Mom barked. Dad looked at him in disappointment.

I walked towards Aggie who is looking shocked. “ miss Aggie, I’m sorry for keeping this from you and also revealing it like this but Macy deserves better, I can’t leave knowing she’s stuck to him like this” I explained softly hoping she wouldn’t hate me. She nods as she held onto my hands giving them a little squeeze, with a warm smile she said.

“ it’s okay my sonny boy, thank you.” I smiled and hugged her. She always call me that saying I’m like a son she never had. she was the one who thought me how to cook, do gardening and other stuff around the house when I had a little free time.

She once told me only i can lead my life where it’s going, one bad decision could lead to downfall it may not be right after but in the long run.

Basically as she said ‘moments pass consequences last, think before you act’.

I turned to Liam.“I’d release her of the command if I were you” he gasped. Dad and mom looked at him.

“ just when I thought I couldn’t be more disappointed in you” mom hissed

“Hm, both of my sons are disappointments” dad mumbled shaking his head.

He has the heart to say I’m a disappointment because I wouldn’t reject my mate.

My mom cast a sidelong glance at him and said before walking back into the house.

“ Wyatt is not a disappointment. If anything he’s a better mate to his than you are to me and would’ve been a better alpha than you.” The shock on my dad’s face says it all. He must have not expected her to say that because he’s not even trying to hide it.
