"Nikandros, what are you doing with this wolf?" Christian snarled at him. His grip tightened on Nik's neck, causing him to gasp as the tears fell down his cheeks.
"Please, Christian, he's my mate, don't hurt him." Nik pleaded. His pathetic tone only angered Christian more.
"No, he is not! What would the Alpha say?" Christian continued to snap at him.
"He is; look at my neck!" Nik begged, still trying to pry away Christian's fingers. Driven by curiosity, Christian released Nik and allowed him to drop down.
Nik took a couple of moments to catch his breath back before returning to his feet. He turned his head aside, revealing Cain's mark on his Nik. Christian just spat at him when he saw it.
