Luna Emma Alexander had woken up as Rosa and Dylan talked. She had already started feeling better with Luna Alison's help. Emma intended to make her presence known when she heard her mate's name, but curiosity led her to pretend to be asleep. She wanted to understand why Rosa had mentioned Jade in their conversation.
She felt the presence of another person in the room, but she didn't pay any attention; she focused on what Rosa was telling Dylan.
Emma was shocked when she realised Rosa's daughter Karla was Jade's rejected mate. How could Jade keep something like that from her? She knew she was his second-chance mate, but no one had ever told her who Jade's first mate was. On top of that, Jade asked Rosa to fly with her and take care of her needs.
