Chapter 9
“Wow, it’s amazing that you could successfully escape from that monster!” Cherry was surprised that Susanna could come and join her dancing.
Susanna smiled and didn’t look back. However she could sense a sight was nailed to her and causing a huge pressure on her shoulders. In the past, she might care what he could think about, but now she didn’t care it anymore.
“He was our boss, but he was not the god that I must obey every order he makes.” Susanna claimed clearly, declaring to Cherry and convincing herself at the same time.
“It’s quite strange,” Cherry got close to Susanna and said to her ears, “I could figure out there is a change between you and him. I remember you were the most obedient to him in the whole company, although you're not saying it out.” Cherry seemed to sense the difference and she couldn’t hold her words back, “we used to gossip about you.”
“Really?” Susanna stopped the hip twisting and turned to Cherry in a little curious face. What do the people around them gossip about them? She may not care what others’ thoughts were but she was curious about the story telling to some extent.
Cherry stopped for a second and continued with a flattering smile, “we thought you were a mistress to him.” Cherry glanced at the face of Susanna and immediately patted on Susanna’s shoulder to calm her down, “Of course, after I got familiar with you, I understood you’re always not that kind of people.”
“So, in some degree, you thought he and I were a couple?” Susanna remembered, although they had married for four years, they didn’t show it in the workplace. Stephan always said when it was the right time, he would clarify to all, including the colleagues in the company.
It turned out that the right time would never have the reason to come.
With frowned eyebrows, Cherry said in a loud voice that was almost pushing Susanna to step back in such a close distance, “Because you’re always the one to calm him down.”
It turned out that she was the extinguisher for him, no wonder she had never succeeded in turning him on.
“Ah-huh......” Susanna laughed out, “I turned to be a fireman.”
“Susanna, don’t piss off,” Cherry hugged her and said, “at least, you would never lose your job as long as you’re the medicine for her temper.”
“Am I not the saviour for all of you in the GM office?” Susanna narrowed her eyes as a cunning queen.
“Of course you are, that’s why tonight it’s all on me.” Cherry released her from her arms and pulled her to the middle of the crowd of men.
“Come on, stop that nonsense, let’s go and enjoy tonight.”
Hearing this, Susanna decided to stop the talk about that lion of anger, after all, he was enjoying her time with the puppy love and she shouldn’t have wasted more time on him.
“Fine, let’s cheer up.” Saying that, Susanna devoted herself in dancing with Cherry.
Cherry might be a tender girl in work, she was hot and sexy in dancing. Just in a little while, Susanna couldn’t ignore the glances coming around them.
“Hey, you’re so amazing in dancing, would you mind teaching me some tricks?” A man of 198cm height came and stood there with a charming smile.
“Wow, it’s not bad.” Susanna said to the ears of Cherry and immediately took actions to catch the opportunity for Cherry. “Enjoy your time, I’m going to have a rest.”
Leaving Cherry smiling in a blushed face, Susanna withdrew from the dancing pool. It’s too far away since the last sports that now Susanna had felt tired for the minutes of dancing.
Of course, Susanna didn’t go back to the original sofa.
Just by a glance at the original direction, Susanna had seen they’re in a close distance for ear-to-ear chatting. Grace seemed to smile happily for any jokes while Stephan was in a poker face that was relaxing gradually. Although Susanna didn’t clearly see the expressions on his face, she could know he was gently listening to Grace.
Susanna took steps back to the opposite direction of the sofa, making use Stephan in that direction wouldn’t be able to see her.
Thinking of this, Susanna was comforted a little bit, at least she didn’t need to pretend anymore.
“Waiter, give me a bottle of fine rice wine.”
“A bottle?” Waiter asked with a surprised face, “my honorable guest, do you really think you need such a big size?”
Susanna burst into laughter, “Boy, don’t worry, I’m an adult and I know what I’m doing.”
Hearing this, the young waiter had to calm himself down and said, “Okay, I believe your decision. Please wait a minute.”
After saying that, the waiter opened the kitchen’s door, “Wait for me, I’ll come back.”
Nodding to Susanna, the waiter turned around and went into the warehouse.
“Polite kid......” Susanna said to herself and continued the mind doodling. “Why are you so lonely in talking yourself, why not join me and enjoy the night?”
A gentle voice that was nicer than Stephan’s one came to the ears of Susanna.
Susanna looked up and saw a man standing in front of her, “are you a newbie here, tonight a party would be on stage as long as you could give me a chance.”
“Oh, really?” Susanna stared at the eyes of the man, not knowing why he would come. “I just want to drink alone, no need of partners.”
“Oh, so pitiful.” This man shrugged his shoulders with a pity for her, “why not come with me and enjoy the night?”
“Copy that, could you repeat that again?” Another voice of man came suddenly to interrupt their conversation.
