Chapter 1
Daylight covers the church, and the soft smell of roses surrounds the couple in the church.
Vicky was dressed in a white wedding dress. Her delicate face looked even more beautiful in the sacred atmosphere. Her red lips raised a shallow smile. The tailored wedding dress wrapped around Vicky's exquisite body, and her delicate skin color was like gelatin.
A pair of strong hands firmly held Vicky's white hands. Vicky raised her eyes and looked at the owner of these hands—Chris, also her husband. A light blush flew on her cheeks.
Vicky's beautiful face deeply touched the tall and handsome Chris. His eyes were filled with tenderness, and he leaned down and tenderly kissed Vicky's cheek. Then, with the blessing of friends and family, the two of them slowly walked to the priest.
Catherine looked at her daughter who was about to get married, tears in her eyes couldn't help but fall, and she felt relieved that her daughter was able to find happiness to rely on.
The priest looked at the couple and solemnly said, “Mr. Chris, do you take Ms. Vicky to be your wife, to live with her according to the teachings of the Bible, to be one with her in the presence of God, to love her, comfort her, respect her, and protect her as you love yourself. Be faithful to her in sickness and in health, in riches and in poverty, always, until you leave this world?”
Chris looked over at Vicky standing beside him, a small happy smile on his lips, his deep dark eyes filled with tenderness as he answered firmly, “I do!”
Vicky's eyes were moved, and an unsteady heart seemed to find a safe harbor.
The priest nodded his head and turned his eyes back to Vicky, “Ms. Vicky, do you take Mr. Chris to be your wife, to live with him according to the teachings of the Bible, to be one with him in the presence of God, to love him, to comfort him, to respect him and to protect him as you love yourself? Be faithful to him in sickness and in health, in riches and in poverty, always, until you leave this world?”
A cold shiver ran through Vicky as she listened to the familiar vows, and she took a deep breath, looked up at the affectionate Chris, and said with equal determination, “I-”
“She doesn't want to” a cold voice steeply raised in the church, decisively interrupting Vicky's later words.
Vicky, who was clad in her wedding gown, shuddered violently as the familiar voice hit her heart, and like a drum beating in her mind, she nervously turned back to see the cold-faced handsome face that she could not forget for the rest of her life.
Chris turned back at the same time, his eyes also widening abruptly as he frowned tightly to see the uninvited guest who had interrupted his wedding.
Alex is in a black cotton top and decent pants just right to highlight their robust physique and long and powerful legs, indifferent look filled with his arrogant and uninhibited face, the same is true of a handsome man, Chris is the kind of soft as the spring breeze, affinity is very strong people, and Alex is a cold compulsion, his flamboyance, his arrogance and that exudes the cold and hard to let a person a burst of shudder.
Chris glanced back at the pale Vicky, striding to Alex, reaching out to stop him from moving forward, “Mr. Alex, today is mine and Vicky's wedding, please behave yourself!”
And Catherine and William stood up nervously to look at Alex standing above the church.
Alex grunted coldly, a pair of stern eyes like a king crossing over Chris as if he didn't exist, shooting straight at Vicky, his low voice raised coldly: “Vicky, come here-”
“No-” Vicky looked at Alex as terrified as if she had seen the devil, she couldn't help but take a few steps back, ”Alex, I don't have anything to do with you, go away!”
“Is that so?” Alex snapped, then his big hand swung away Chris's arm that was blocking the front in one fell swoop, striding up a few steps, one hand fiercely pinched Vicky's soft jaw, leaned down, and smiled evilly, “We don't have any relationship? Do you want me to talk about how you make me comfortable in front of your parents and your future husband?”
