King Of The dead

Matthew I am the king of godsland. My name is Matthews. my competitors ran with their tails between their legs while my people loved me. But unfortunately, I was betrayed by the people I trusted -x- 1 hour ago "Today it has been a month since you accepted my proposal to marry me," I said smiling "it was the best decision of my life," Kiara said smiling back. a young guard came running and disrupted the lovely moment. I waited while he spoke "your majesty they came the holy son of god wishes an audience with you your highness" he said while panting. "they are here my brother Aden is here" Kiara continued " I can't wait to meet him. it has been so long" she held my hand and dragged me into the throne room where my to-be brother-in-law was waiting. as we entered he bowed down "don't bow we are practically my brother now" I said. I also noticed there was an object covered with a cloth in the center of the room. "What is that," I asked "that your majesty is a gift for you" answered Aden." for demonstration can we go to the courtyard At the courtyard the same guard came from before came running "stop, catch your breath and then speak" . "what is your name ?" I asked him. "my name is Ryan, your majesty. I came to inform you that the five ministers are here the wish an audien-". "let them come too " Aden interrupted Ryan's monologue. I motioned for Ryan to go and invite them in. The five ministers entered the courtyard while murmuring "and then you go behi- you majesty you are in the courtyard we were just coming to meet you" said the minister of hunters. we were just discussing how I am going to raid the dragon's nest" "Ohh, ok Aden and the rest were giving me a gift" . " we have a gift for you too." the minister said "see ours first," said Kiara "it is beautiful " what could it be a weapon? no, armor? no, an elixir? no, it could be anything....the swish of fabric drew me out of my thoughts. "tada it's an egg a beast egg to be precise" Aden said. a beast egg and looks like it's an unclassified egg. an unclassified egg is an egg of which the mana beast is not known. unclassified does not necessarily mean that the animal is not known it just means that the beast tamer association could not classify the beast in the egg it could be a false alarm but still, I could feel the strong pressure coming from the egg. due to it being unclassified it could be a huge beast inside the small egg as soon as the egg hatch some animals absorb mana in the air and grow 3 or 5 or even some times 10 times the size of the egg "Can I hold it?" I asked Aden "of course the egg is yours," he said handing the egg over to me. the minister of hunters said"we have a gift for you to " all the other four ministers moved in a circle around us and then chaos broke out. it took me a few seconds to figure out that my ministers were attacking me, Aden luckily no one was focusing on Kiara but then I realized they were eliminating the threat then they were going to kill her or worse, was it for the money? the title of king? it did not matter I have to focus on the current battle I was attacked by three of the minister and the rest attacked Aden. I was a light practitioner specialized in fire magic I had a familar but he was killed recently. the three ministers could attack using their beast, earth magic, or water magic respectively. James the minister of hunters summoned Sigro his hybrid of snake and dragon, Bill the minister of agriculture attacked me with earth magic while Michaila healed any injury I caused as she was the best water magic healer. while fighting them but I was the king for a reason, I was strong, very strong. I lunged at Bill and managed to cut off his arm his cries of agony filled the air but the healer healed his arm instantly. I knew that if I want to win I would have to kill Michaila first. I paired all the attacks from Bill and dogged Sigro's lunges "Fighting me like a man or are you to week that you are only good at dodging "Bill taunted. I knew what he was doing it was a common tactic to enrage the enemy and make him slip up and then kill him or her when he/she is left exposed. But I am not so stupid. I have a goal it is to kill Michaila. By the time I reached Michaila, I managed to cut bill and his hands and legs multiple times to all be healed again but one of the best attacks I made today managed to kill Sigro luckily Michaila was not able to revive the dead. I had been saving all of my mana and building up my strongest advance. In the hand holding the egg on the tip of my finger, I made a pin-sized extremely hot almost white fire dart it was necessary as Bill had made an earth armor surrounding her body only the eyes and area over the nose were open. just when I shot the dart I saw Bill behead Kiara, I heard someone screaming and then I realized it was James behind me, I turned to parry his attack but I was too late he stabbed me in the back and said"This is for Sigro", stab "this is for Michaila", "And this is for Kiara" is aid and chopped his head. then I fell on the floor everything was haze I tried to get up but my body would not move. I was going to die there was poison on the dagger it stoped my mana from healing me. I saw Aden running towards me "I killed the others "he said. I pointed at Kiara's dead body, could not say anything other than "bring here". I saw him run towards Kiara, I felt blood drip down from my wound onto my hand and down to the egg, and then there was a bright light and then everything went dark. to be continued.........
