Seraphina
“Father?” I shout. The pain is worse than a thousand lashes, every nerve ending is on fire. “Help” is the only word I can form through the pain. He rushes to my side, catching my arm as my knees give way.
“Breathe, Seraphina!” He commands me, “You are powerful! You have the ability to do something I could never do” he says as he holds my gaze. “You can bring life into this world.”
He’s right. I am not angel, demon, or human. I am woman- and that is magical.
