S-rank hero III

“Haha. Good thing that you’re honest, boy. Okay, you can help me by sorting out the documents over there while I’m securing the eggs. Just gather the document in one side, so we’re going to have an easier time getting it out from this place.” “Understood.” “By the way, I will be able to spend fifteen minutes answering your questions later. Maybe fifteen minutes or so, so you can start thinking about what you want to ask while you sort the papers.” “Yes, Miss!” “By the way, I don’t like you calling me miss. It’s too formal and quite unnatural when you’re calling me that. Can you call me something else?” “Sure, Miss, I mean, sure, big sister.” “Haha. You’re quite quick-witted. Calling me big sister eh, I like it. Okay, I can spare thirty minutes for you later.” “Thank you, big sis! I will surely do my best.” Max then quickly sorts out the documents that are lying around everywhere in the room near the equipment. But, of course, Marie is the one who is doing this since Max doesn’t understand anything about the thing that is written on it. “Max, don’t put that one over there. Instead, put it along with the document on the left.” “Marie, you heard big sis earlier saying that I just need to sort it all. It doesn’t have to be separated like this.” “If you’re doing that, you’ll only make it harder for the people who will sort out the documents.” “By the way, how do you know that you’re sorting it out correctly?” “I’ve seen some of the things on this paper. Genetic modification, prehistoric dinosaurs, animal cloning, I can roughly guess what’s happening here. Not to mention Miss Alexandra earlier mentioned about Doctor Castiel, and I could immediately connect the dots.” “Yeah, speaking of that, tell me more about Doctor Castiel.” “No problem, Doctor Castiel is an A-rank villain. However, the task to go after him won’t be handed over to A-rank heroes. This is because he has a danger level of S-rank.” “Eh, how is that possible?” “You’ve seen the creature earlier. Usually, his base will include those creatures that prove to be a problem for A-rank heroes to face. Three years ago, he was almost caught, but inside his base, there are five creatures whose battle power on par with the monster earlier. He managed to get away, and there have been no sightings about him.” “No wonder big sis Alexandra is pleased to find out about this. Having a villain like Doctor Castiel hiding in the dark freely, makes us can’t sleep relaxedly at night.” After some time, Max managed to sort out the papers that are scattered around the place earlier. Alexandra seemed to have finished handlings the egg as they are all now sitting inside a container. “Big sis Alexandra, I have finished.” “Is that so? Let me see.” “The documents have been sorted. The first one contains information about genetic modification. The second one is about the Batrachopus Grandis. The third one is about cloning and the last one containing Doctor Castiel’s research.” “Wow, how can you organize this? I don’t think that you’re that smart.” “It’s all done by my overseer.” “That’s one genius overseer you have there. Even Marcheline couldn’t sort out the documents this way.” “Who is Marcheline, big sis?” Before Alexandra could answer the question, Marie, as the heroes’ encyclopedia, answered Max’s question. “Marcheline is an A-rank overseer that works with Miss Alexandra.” “Marcheline is my overseer. Okay, since we just have to wait for some time for the people from the United Heroes association to come and clean up this place. Now, do you have anything you want to ask me? Your thirty minutes start now.” “Eh, now?” Max is too focused on doing the documents sorting since Marie keeps complaining to him whenever he puts it in the wrong sections. He hasn’t thought about anything to ask, so he is pretty panicked. “Max, ask her how to become strong.” “Ah, that’s a good one, Marie. Big sis Alexandra, can I ask you how to become strong?” “Become strong? You mean, becoming an S-rank hero?” “Yes.” “Well, it isn’t strange for you to ask this kind of question since everyone wants to become stronger. However, sadly I have to tell you that there’s no shortcut. You just have to train diligently every day to become strong. Are you satisfied with my answer?” Max nods as he fully accepted the answer. “Then, big sis Alexandra. Can you tell me how you take out the monster earlier?” Although what Marie tells Max is a bit cliché, this question is a stupid one. It shows that Max doesn’t know about Alexandra and her ability. “Boy, are you perhaps don’t know about me?” “Well, Marie told me that you’re an S-rank hero.” “Haha. So except from what your overseer told you, you don’t know anything about me. I am quite interested to see a D-rank hero with an overseer, but now I know why. You’re quite stupid, aren’t you? It must be hard for your overseer to fill in every time you know nothing. No worries, I’ll answer it anyway. My ability is a body strengthening one. I can throw a punch tens of times stronger than what a normal person is capable of. Earlier, when I take out the monster, I used my ability and what seemed to be a normal punch is, in fact, tens of times stronger.” “Then, isn’t your hand hurting? I mean, even if you could exert power several times stronger, you still have normal flesh, bones, and skin, right?” Alexandra is surprised once again. Not because Max is raising another stupid question, but it’s because she can see the pure tone that Max used to ask the question and the concern behind it. Throughout her career, nobody has ever asked her that question. So instead, they just consider Alexandra’s ability as something natural, and her body won’t be hurt when using it. However, that wasn’t the case. Although Alexandra is capable of unleashing the power that exceeds others, her body has a limit. This has been her secret, and nobody knows about it. If she forces her body, she will receive a recoil and be damaged instead.
