Emmet Greyson

810 Words
Over the years she has changed so much; from the way she talks to people to her dressing sense, and seems like her attitude problem has totally vanished, everything after the death of Lyle, and call off Selen and Lucas’s wedding. Something did happen, but I am not interested to know what. And this is the first time she has snapped back on me in all the years after she changed. I like the snapping one better than the stoned to silence version. “I do not like that you are frequently crossing my path in the past two weeks.” I stated my mind out in the open. “Likewise, Destiny – I think there is someone behind that tree.” Her eyes directed to somewhere behind me. “We aren’t friends to joke, you know?” I replied, but anyways turned to see, and I knew she wasn’t lying after I saw a few flying dry leaves falling because of the weight on a branch of the tree, and I looked up. There was someone, dressed in black. “I think it’s not safe here. Let’s walk out first.” I didn’t have the time to react or even turn around, as Emmet initiated the move, and held my hand, as we started brisk walking towards the entry gate. “Do you know them?” I asked suspiciously, she must know, or else she wouldn’t know that the situation is dangerous. “No.” I doubt that’s the truth. Is she in any trouble? And is now dragging me into it? Again I didn’t get the chance to speak as I heard a many set of shoes walking behind us, not having the audacity I didn’t turn back, but opening my phone camera was an option though; three men in normal attires like any other human visiting the grave were walking at our pace behind us, “Two are following from the left.” I was surprised she was intelligent enough to see it in the corner concave mirror on the road. “What do you want to do? Run?” She asked me and I felt my inner tiger awakening. “You run and SOS Abhi, as you are already chummy with him, and I will take this party down.” I didn’t care what situation we were in, but my point was that Abhishek is my friend and I am possessive. “Not happening. We run or we fight. It’s a WE.” I laughed at her stress on we, this is something nobody could’ve ever imagined in a lifetime; Emmet and Vhrea taking down men, together. “On the count of 3. Left is you.” I declared and started my countdown. Baddies bring the badass out of a girl. And I kicked. Securing my handbag around my waist with the help of my belt I high kicked one man who was about to grab me by my hair. “Guys I love to kick high, but it will be okay if we could discuss everything first. Like what is the matter… Oh man! Forget that. I’ll beat your asses today!” After getting punched in the jaw, with a bleeding cut I went a punching spree just like what Emmet was doing, and I’ve never taken her to be an action girl at all. But she looked awesome in the split second I managed to see her kicking the groin of one man, and I know how difficult it is to make a move on someone who might be more trained than you. Respect. Period. “Nice kicks Destiny!” I heard her, what is with her not understanding ever that I don’t want her to call me that! That saying fired up my movements as I managed to dodge a vital stomach punch and rolled onto the hard road. “You are not allowed to call me that. And you’ve got some good punches yourself… left, left!” I warned her hurriedly from an attacker with a sharp blade. Can I somehow manage to speed dial Abhishek, but he was not on my speed dial! Why was Sir Kongee in the list again? Goodness. Tormenting Freakiness! Distraction is the key to death. And damn it was too true. A heavy object was dropped on me, purposefully, as I felt my head throb in pain and my eyes started to black out, due to the pain and the undying sunlight. I wasn’t allowed to fight back as a cloth or a bag of fabric was used to trap my head inside, and unlucky me that not Gabriel, nor Abhishek or Jules had ever taught me how to fight in a situation like this with tactics to free myself. Not having a choice, I let the pain engulf me and darkness adopt my presence.
